After reading a review on A.D. The Bible Continues: “The Body is Gone,” I wondered why the reviewer didn’t denounce the film as harmful.  He pointed out the lack of the Gospel, the distortions and additions, but used the words “pleased” and “refreshing” concerning the rest of the film.  I also wondered: would pastors recommend to their congregations a Bible leaving out the Gospel, and seeded with extra-biblical insertions and distortions?

Maybe if I expose the miniseries as a new bible version, more influential leaders would oppose it.  It could be called, The Theatrical Bible Version.

“All the offensive reminders of sin are removed along with the Gospel.  It’s entertaining, unlike the other Bible versions that are less artistic.”

The standard for compiling The Theatrical Bible Version is “shoulda, woulda, coulda.”  It should have its own tablet so that people don’t have to read it.  They can just tap on the link for John, and all they need to know shows up in video.  (Have I just given those heretics an idea?)

More questions came to mind.  Are films, Hollywood stars, and producers exempted from the warning not to add or take away from God’s Word? If the Bible can be subjected to mutilation and perversions, then popularity and prominence dominate truth. Further, who said we now need a conveniently altered film/bible to reach the lost? If they are saved under a no-Gospel presentation, are they actually converted?  What will they need to keep them saved? More films? If the Bible is not enough to save them, how can it be enough to keep them saved?

It grieves my spirit to see influential Christian leaders groveling before megalomaniacs and capitulating to their agenda. Are you reading this, David Jeremiah and George Wood?

Concerning The Theatrical Bible Version, AD: The Bible Continues, I marvel that professing Christians are accepting the same concoction that Satan introduced in the Garden of Eden.  It is truth mixed with error.  The proportion is usually 90% or more truth, and 10% or less error.  The error does not have to be ample as long as it is deadly.  One drop of cyanide in a glass of pure water—would you drink it?  Would you choose it over a glass of pure water?  Then why feast on a movie that purports to be the Bible, yet is laced with drops of spiritual cyanide?

Oh, I get it.  It’s just a movie.  People who make that defense will in the next breath declare how much greater movies are than the printed word in reaching people.  In other words, while the Bible that contains no error is considered the weaker media, it is okay to imbibe from a “more powerful” Hollywood medium that contains error and omissions.  Does this mean that the Holy Spirit prefers to use lies and obscurity nowadays?  Who made that assumption a new rule?

They ignore the truth that a “little leaven leavens the whole lump,” and “neither give place to the devil.”  It is all about experiencing religion with the least exertion, involvement, and commitment.  They want to get in and get out, like using an automated car wash.  If rubbing a sizeable dose of satanic caramelized elixir on the bread of life makes it palatable, they’re all for it.  When they need a “fix” for their addiction to visuals and sound effects, it’s “Forget the rules, give me the show!”  The fact is that many professing Christians are just as set up and willing for Satan’s Lying Signs and Wonders Show as the World System.

It is truly easy to recognize and avoid the deception.  All that is necessary is to fully surrender to God, love His truth and righteousness, and maintain the power in our godliness.  However, if individuals feed their carnal nature, they will eventually want deception more than a relationship with God, and Satan is waiting for them.  All he has to do is make the deception more appealing than God.  It’s like, “Hey, you with that Bible.  You wanna watch a really good movie?”

I wonder if they can be warned effectively.  They are like people who ignore the evidence of broken lives, shattered dreams, wasted humanity, of 51% of federal inmates, 25% of female and 16% of male inmates in State prison, and yet go ahead and smoke crack cocaine or take meth.  “It won’t happen to me,” are their famous last words before succumbing to horrible bondage.  Likewise, professing Christians confidently dive into the septic pool teaming with diluted scriptures and spiced beyond God’s “yea and nay.”  In spite of the warnings by Christians and the Bible, they soak up the theatrical pseudo-bible while their hard copy Bibles gather dust from Sunday to Sunday.  In fact, many do not take their Bibles to church meeting anyway.  The ones that do only carry them as an accessory.

The truth is that many professing Christians are bored.  They are not necessarily bored only with God’s word.  They seldom read or study it.  They are bored with Churchianity, bored with meetings and all the trappings, bored with the preaching, and bored with the same old, same old.  They’ve joined a world hooked on visuals—movies, texting and social media.  It appears that everything else is ineffective in reaching them.

But it isn’t that the Holy Spirit is ineffective.  It’s more the fact they will not give Him any more access than they do people or reality.  They prefer the virtual world and its scintillating technology.  The problem is that they are trying to fit Him into the technological world, crediting Him with what the technology is accomplishing.  It’s a roundabout way of sanctioning their projects by association.  Not that technology is evil, but that it cannot replace our relationship with God and the prominence of the Holy Spirit in that relationship.

So what do we do next?  What is the solution to the majority of professing Christians throwing all caution to the winds and dancing into a cloudy maze of deception?  The truth is, just as we cannot stop prophecy from occurring, we cannot eliminate the broad path.  As heartbreaking as it is, there will be people who, in spite of every opportunity to do and be otherwise, will veer onto it.  It is their choice.

There need to be many more pastors and churches on a local level calling out warnings to them, but that’s not happening.  Instead, they are promoting the very bondages they ought to be exposing and warning about.  In this flipped upside down world, the shepherds have become sheep.  The replacement shepherds are wolves.  How amazing that this would occur in a nation that God has blessed so greatly!

Why are professing Christians so passive during an unprecedented encroachment of evil on Christian liberty in America?  There are the standard reasons.  They are apathetic, weak, backslidden, hypocritical, etc.   We could make a case for one or all of those things.

I also believe that many professing Christians abhor any negative information, especially what they believe to be “doom and gloom.”  They’ve shut their minds to everything relative to eschatology.  Thus, they cannot recognize historical precursors for full-scale violent persecution.  A large faction believes that Christ is going to “come and get us before all the bad stuff happens.”  They refuse to recognize that “bad stuff”, including the wanton slaughter of Christians, is already occurring in other nations.

However, I believe that there is another major underlying factor that may be responsible for all the other factors resulting in obstinate passivity.  And it is simple.  There is no threat to their status quo.

Most professing Christians “go to church” and listen to sermons.  That’s what they do to no viable end.  They get the family ready on Sunday morning and they head to a church building.  When they get back home, they put it behind them like a dental visit.  They watch sports on TV, go fishing, play golf, shop, and basically reward themselves for “doing church.”  Most of them do not attend the Sunday night meeting, if their church has one.  In other words, the Sunday morning event has minimal impact in their lives.  It simply satisfies the inherent urge to be religious.

Monday through Friday, they focus on the cares of life with little or no expression of Christianity.  Saturday, they enjoy the day off.  Sunday rolls around and it’s off to the church building again.  It is the stuff of “hearers-only” religion.

So where’s the threat?  So what if the militant Homosexual/Progressive Liberal Movement attacks a Christian florist, cake maker, or some other Christian business.  The congress passes so-called hate crime and anti-discrimination laws intrusive to Christians.  So what?  Radical atheists get angry about nativity scenes.  Department stores refuse to say “Merry Christmas.”   Some bank teller gets fired for saying, “Have a blessed day.”  The Ten Commandments are removed from a courthouse.  So what?  New Age paganism is a swarming invasion.  Entire denominations are succumbing to Contemplative Spirituality.  So what?  It doesn’t even slightly hinder the routine of “going to church” on Sunday.

Therefore, even though there is a concerted effort to force acceptance of the homosexual agenda on the workplace, the marketplace, public education, churches, government, military, and you name it, it does not significantly hinder the status quo.  Professing Christians can still “go to church,” hear sermons, and coast along enjoying their “best life now.”  Warned repeatedly about the invasion of heresy in the church, and the rapid declension of culture into hedonism, they refuse to process the information as a threat.

The fact is, far too many professing Christians consider the diabolical intrusions as “much ado about nothing.”  Everything goes on as before.  Besides, they do not actually practice Christianity in public anyway.  So where’s the loss in having something pilfered that you never bothered to use?

You know what’s really pathetic?  We have history to inform us about the pattern that evil employs to gain dominance over and then persecute Christians. But people do not (or refuse to) recognize the first step by Christophobes toward abolishing our liberty.  It is to poke the sleeping giant.  What I mean is they begin by caricaturing and then challenging public expressions of Christianity.   If the giant does not awaken, they go a step further and remove liberties by legislation.  They continue to poke and gouge as long as the giant sleeps.  Eventually, the giant is so full of holes (liberties lost) and its hide so bound to stakes (rules and laws) that when it finally awakens, it has little or no power to do anything other than moan.

The sleeping giant is of course Christianity.  It is a massive subdued, ritualistic, apathetic, hireling-infiltrated, spiritually anemic, and heresy-poisoned monstrosity composed mostly of professing Christians who have no concept of true Christianity.  Further they have no interest in theology other than sound-bite explanations of what separates them from other Christian factions.  They have no idea of where their doctrines came from, or the scriptural paths that produced them.   All is well if they can only “go to church” under a specific title, hear a sermon, and go home.

The millennials with their mega-churches and New Age “church” have a worse problem.  They believe they have superior Christianity because they have shaken off the old garments of traditionalism and are breathing the fumes of Spiritual Formation.  Wrong.  They only poured old contaminated wine in new wine skins.  It is still about maintaining a status quo.

What they all fail to realize is that “going to church” will be the last Christian indulgence to be banished.  At the moment, they can “go” all they want as long as they don’t attempt to “do” anything Christ-like in society.  While that status quo is maintained, a furious attack on “doers” is underway.  The “hearers-only” placidly look the other way.

I believe that when the time comes to drive a wooden stake in the heart of the giant, the “hearers only” will applaud the decision.  The reason?  Because Christianity will be replaced with an ecumenical world religion that will eliminate any threat to their status quo.  The government will slide out the old, battered, and heresy-fragmented shell of Christianity, and slip in place a new, human-centered, ecumenical religion benign to culture, atheism, and all else that opposes righteousness.  It will preserve their “church-going” indulgence.  The millennials with their Seeker-Friendly, Emergent, Ecumenical, New Age, New Apostolic, Spiritual Formation, etc., are leading the way and assisting in the process.

When the One-World religion is set in place, the “church-going, hearers-only” folks, clinging to their venerated paradigm, will breathe a bated sigh of relief.  They will not have lost anything.  What will be destroyed they never possessed.  Their ritual was their faith.  It was the crux of their belief system, the sum of their duty to whom they deem as God.  Killing the battered giant will not matter to them anymore than knocking a fish in the head with a stick.

That is why they are so passive today.  There is nothing in their superficial understanding of Christianity that is considered expensive enough to stand up for and defend.  Their pastors could switch present theology for another one on any given Sunday and they would neither recognize nor care.  It’s the status quo that matters.  Come into the building, breeze through a short burst of fellowship, enjoy the “worship” music, endure a short message, relish the mild inebriation of the meeting’s end, rush to the food, and enjoy life with God in the distant background—a paradigm of the church “triumphantly” dead.

At the end of this article is an email from David Jeremiah’s office.  It is in response to a question concerning his involvement with New Age/Roman Catholic Roma Downey and her husband Mark Burnett.  There is no answer in the response to the question of why Jeremiah joined with Downey and Burnett to write two books for “A.D.: The Bible Continues.”

I watched the interview of Downey and Burnett in Jeremiah’s church at the link provided.   As I listened to Downey and Burnett explain their production, several thoughts came to mind.

First, I thought, “Wolves, sheep’s clothing.”  In other words, there is no superficial way to determine that they are not true Christians.  However, their fruit is New Age mysticism combined with Roman Catholicism.    Their production, “A.D.: The Bible Continues,” in my opinion is a mixture of truth, heresy, and extra-biblical material.  It is perplexing that professing Christians continue to watch their films and celebrity preachers continue to grovel before them.

Second, I was impressed how well Downey has learned, and understands how to execute Christian-speak.   She fluently spoke the language of Christians while claiming the Holy Spirit’s involvement in their work.  But then, she is an actor:  I wouldn’t expect anything less than a perfect overlay of her words with no glaring glitches.  It reminds me of another New Age professing Christian (an oxymoron), Oprah Winfrey, who allegedly received coaching of how to Christian-speak.  I believe that diabolical individuals have realized that Christian-speak is the only requirement for being accepted as a Christian in this present great apostasy.

Next, I thought of how this generation has ceased gathering scriptural knowledge themselves, depending on other people to do all the work for them.  They merely receive it via a pastor or tele-heritic, or perhaps via religious music.  So I wondered how long before Downey and Burnett’s work will be turned into a “Bible”.  Perhaps it might become an apocrypha of sorts with the included “bible” subjected to its embellishments and distortions.

Then I thought of Jeremiah’s customer service (?) representative Alyssa Huey’s statement that people would see Downey and Burnett’s “passion to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the formation of the early Church to a secular world.”  I’ve witnessed secular producers being passionate about secular productions.  Likewise, D & B’s passion to present their miniseries is not evidence that it is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I wonder how many people will be drawn into the New Age Movement or Roman Catholicism through the series.

Jeremiah appears to believe that God necessarily needs what they are doing to reach the secular world.  I believe there is no greater power than the true Word of God imparted and empowered by the Holy Spirit.  However, I concede that it is much different today than it was in the last century.   Much of the world is dependent on technology.  Information is increasingly being disseminated and gathered by technological means.  Most Americans have lazy minds.  They’ve been “dumbed down” by the public education system, and are heavily dependent on visuals and sensual attraction.

Concurrently, the majority of Christians have nearly ceased witnessing to the lost, and present no public example of Christianity. The door is wide open for deceivers to completely reap a harvest.   The blunt truth is that there appears to be no Christian alternative to D&B.  Their easy access into Christianity has been made possible by the incredible invasion of hirelings and heretics that introduced and established New Age heresy.  Additionally, one should consider that David Jeremiah has become a proponent of Contemplative Spirituality.  It might be worth noting that every professing Christian who comes out in favor of Contemplative Spirituality (e.g., Rick Warren, George Wood, David Jeremiah, etc.) immediately exhibits total lack of discernment, and abandons all objections to the most diabolical individuals ever endorsed and permitted to “minister” to Christians.

Christianity is no doubt in a period of great apostasy and it is going to get worse.  I believe that it is the final one before the Antichrist and False Prophet appears.  If I am correct, it will be a time of great deception so clever and intense that even the very elect would be deceived, if that were possible (Matthew 24:24).

Finally, there are these verses in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12 that predict a period of diabolical and extremely powerful lying signs and wonders.  God’s word does not say exactly by what means these lying signs and wonders will be conveyed to the world.  However, I know that television is an outlet for many lying signs and wonders.  Special effects can make any lie, no matter how incredible it is, appear as truth.  Hollywood has been in the process of, as I heard a Drama professor once say, “making evil appear beautiful” for a long time.  I do not trust New Age Roman Catholic producers and their Celebrity preacher shills to distribute truth through a medium notorious for lying signs and wonders, especially in a time of apostasy.

Eventually, professing Christians must cease ignoring the signs that something is not right with certain people and their activities, including celebrity preachers.  They must stop explaining away the anomalies, effectively giving them, and the beguiling merchants of religious sleaze whom they embrace, a pass.

If the cleverness of deception continues improving, we may have only the Holy Spirit’s warning that someone or something is not of God.  We do not want to be drawn into deception in this dangerous period.  There is at the present ample and visible information to make the right decision about Downey, Burnett, and Contemplative supporter, Jeremiah.  If that information and the warnings are ignored again, as they were in D & B’s previous videos, eventually the ignorers will be unable to discern any deception.

Another factor is completely clear.  There is an unintended effect of the volume of critiques and detailed information about Downey and Burnett and their projects.  It appears to be having little effect on the deceived masses.  However, D & B seem to be employing the criticism as a means of quality control to refine their public persona.  Having already mastered Christian-speak, at some point, further expose’ of them and all heretics will be fruitless.  If people have not locked onto truth by then, perhaps they never will.

Because they reject love for truth, “God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:
