Cedric Fisher: "earnestly contending for the faith."

Bethel Music; a work of Darkness

And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. (Ephesians 5:11)

This verse clearly says that we should not seek and enjoy association with the works of darkness. Fellowship in the Greek is Koinonia, which means; association, communion, joint participation, and intimacy. Koinonia is something we should do with true Christians and with God.

It is also significant that the Apostle Paul used the phrase, “unfruitful works of darkness” instead of simply “darkness.” Most professing Christians will not fraternize with the known darkness. For example, they will avoid the obvious diabolical manifestations of Satan. However, not all works of darkness are obvious.

In 2 Corinthians 4:2, Paul wrote, “But we have renounced the hidden things of shame.” Evidently, some of the works of darkness are hidden or else we would not be susceptible to association with them, Further, Paul would not tell us to expose them if they were not hidden.

Satan masquerades as an angel of light, and his ministers as ministers of righteousness. (2 Corinthians 11:14-15) Since they are disguised, we have to use discernment and listen to the Holy Spirit to identify them. How much more hidden are their works?

The works of darkness are even more hidden today because we are in a time of great deception and consequent apostasy. Unfruitful works of darkness certainly flourish and operate better in such a period. That’s because many professing Christians have completely dimmed their light. Thus, it is no surprise that so many professing Christians that are conscious of the darkness are blind to the works of darkness.

Dim is also quite possibly the reason that many professing Christians are having fellowship with Bethel Music. To a discerning Christian, Bethel Music is a conspicuous work of darkness. Bethel Music is the work of Bethel Church, a notorious cult church that produces the works of Bill and Beni Johnson. Many of the ones that rush to associate with Bethel Music in their concerts might never accept the bizarre shenanigans of Bethel Church. The alluring music has seduced them into to associating rather than exposing. Further, Bethel Music’s siren songs have the hypnotic effect of covering up one hard fact. If the spirits of darkness are in the source, then the same spirits are in the flow. “Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening?” (James 3:11) “A bad tree cannot bear good fruit.” (Mathew 7:15-20)

The demonic laughing and jerking, waking up angels, fire tunnels, grave sucking, dead-raising teams, using tuning forks for prophecy, gold dust falling in the meetings, so-called drunken glory, etcetera, are in the simmering cauldron that is Bethel Church. Bethel Music will lead many people back to that cauldron. That is its purpose. Bethel Music does not go around the country putting on concerts to showcase talent, to entertain people, or to make lots of money. The so-called worship team is on the road for one purpose. That purpose is to unite people with the spirits that comprise its source, Bethel Church.

God’s people are children of the light. Like their Master, they must shine their lights to expose and defeat the darkness.
“But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.” (Ephesians 5:13)
Instead of manifesting the darkness with their lights, professing Christians are bonding with Bethel Music in a concert.

They weave and sway with the music, their spirits open and receptive, being stroked by the ebb and flow of the rhythms and hypnotic sounds. Their spirits are dancing with demons. As the emotion rises up, their minds become saturated with pleasure, and they are intoxicated with sweet surrender. They unwittingly become intimate with Satan. What is tragic is that although some professing Christians may be able to survive such an tango with evil, weak ones may lose their souls. I would not want that as part of my record when I stand before Righteous, Almighty God.

I did another indepth one on them last year, praying more will open their eyes to the dark path they are being led down.

Gee I went to Bethel and all I saw was amazing healings right in front of my eyes . The blind see the deaf hear the lame walk . So if you want to criticize the gold dust and healings go right ahead make sure that I’m not anywhere near you . The word says that those criticism against the Holy . Spirit will never be forgiven . Oh by the way I’m a doubting Thomas type .

      • C.H. Fisher

You are not the first one that has been led by his eyes, (ears, emotions, et cetera) rather than by the Holy Spirit and God’s word–and you certainly will not be the last. Individuals in my age bracket know the difference between God’s genuine work and and the clever but false imitations presented by Satan. We have witnessed and been involved in mighty supernatural works of God. We know when we Satan’s tawdry copies.

The he fact is, no godly individual “sucked” the anointing from graves on the day of Pentecost or afterward. No godly biblical figure conducted dead-raising seminars. There is no reference in God’s word to fire tunnels, SOZO, or any of the the other bizarre unbiblical wickedness occurring at Bethel Redding.

There is a reason that we are supposed to “exercise our senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” (Hebrews 5:14) That reason is called, deception. If you do not have discernment, you will deceptively believe that Bethel Redding is a mighty move of God. If you have discernment, you can easily recognize the works of darkness in that place and everywhere the NAR has stretched its tentacles.

“Judge not that you be not judged. With the spirit with which you judge others you also shall be judged”. You are driving outside your lane. Let the divine do the judging. Your job is to learn to love your brothers and sisters and do the Fathers will. Remember, Jesus loved the sinners too. When you can learn to do that, and only when, you then will become a follower of Jesus

          • C.H. Fisher

Hmm..I think you judged me. I judge wolves in “sheep’s clothing,” especial Bethel Music, for providing a lure to draw young or spiritual compromised people into Bethel’s snare. You judged me for obeying God and His word and exposing them. Let’s take the issue to God’s word.

You imply, let the wolves run free deceiving anyone they can. The apostle Paul wrote:
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.” – Ephesians 5:11

You say, “Judge not that you be not judged. With the spirit with which you judge others you also shall be judged”.

That is true. That is one must be led by the Holy Spirit and be pure in his or her motive(s) for exposing wolves. One must pray, keep him or her self free rom distractions, indulgences, obsessions, and remain faithful and sensitive to God. Even then, they will be judged, as evidenced by you judging me.

But here is the passage that should make everything very clear. Christ Jesus said:
“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgment.” -John 7:24

Do you understand that God’s people are to judge righteous judgments? Those that God called to one of the five offices are especially required to judge. If people are deceived by a heretic, hireling, false shepherd, false prophet, false teacher, or another of Satan’s minions, and someone that God called does not make that judgment and warn the people, they will have sinned for derelection of duty.

Can you imagine how many people would have entered hell had the apostle Paul not judged and exposed Satan’s minions? Was Peter right to judge and rebuke Simon the Sorcerer? Acts 8:20-23 It is also a righteous judgment to rebuke Bill Johnson’s musical lure for the amazing amount of diabolical influence Bethel is sowing in people’s minds. It is a righteous work to warn people about everything that is deadly in this time of great apostasy and deception.

          • Christopher

Mark it is not wrong to judge people, to view people all through the Word of God. God through His Word gives us warning to be aware, sober, alert and gives instruction on how to judge…that is what discernment is, righteous judgement. If you were to read in context Matthew 7 which you are quoting from you’d understand that The LORD gave us instructions on how to judge later in verses 13-23. You must do your exegesis and understand what the passage has spoken (what is the text saying?) verses how most read in eisegesis which is to read into the passage your own belief. The reality is that Bethel, Hillsong, Elevation, Maverick city worship, Jesus Culture are aligned with and bound to heretical doctrine. These groups are all false prophets and the reality is they are all dangerous Matthew 7:15 The LORD instructs “beware”. The narrowness of the gate that is mentioned a few verses up is offensive to the natural man and that way is hard and to go down the narrow way means to bear a cross and none of these groups preach on dying to self and living to Christ, but the contrary on how they can get what they want out of Jesus (I can just add Jesus to my adulturous and idolotrous life and He will give me what I want.)
These false prophets don’t wear badges, so we are to use good judgement (discernment according to the Scriptures) to identify these wolves in sheep’s clothing. I’d encourage you Mark to read 2 Peter 2 about false prophets and deliverance from them and the book of Jude and how it describes the character of these false teachers. (Notice these are judgements)

We are to recognize these people by there fruit and the fruit they produce is from there character their father Satan; that is judgement. Also, you will find if you read the Bible and let the Word of God speak for itself then you will see that if indeed you are a born again Christian, then you serve the One and only God who is full of wrath and Grace…God hates sin and calls us to live righteously. We are to test the spirits because not all are from us…read 1 John 4 and you will see this.

Lastly these groups may use scripture but don’t let that fool you because they can twist scripture and have no problem doing so, because they are devoid of the Holy Spirit. To just read and quote Matthew 7:1 is to grossly mishandle the text and shows a lack of understanding…we are to be as 2 Timothy 2:15 says “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.”

This is just encouragement to you Mark!

Yep, that’s the exact attitude that has gotten us into the psych ward we live in now! Look the other way, don’t research anything, believe all churches are good, be a sheep 🐑!
NO, those days are over.! These evil people aren’t going to get away with trafficking our kids! Not on my watch! WAKE UP!!!!

Oh my! Thank you for sharing this information. I have never heard of this group before. The old devil will use anything to deceive .Keep sounding the alarm and teaching the truth
May God continue to use you as you present the Truth. Praying for you and Cheryl daily.

    • Kay

This church though not yet fully exposed on this subject has involvement with trafficking my daughter to Penn State officials. I know because a next door neighbor who was living with her boyfriend’s father attended Bethel assisted into sending my only daughter to Penn State officials involved with Satanism with fake guardianship documents. She lied to police and officials claiming she was my relative when she was not; she also had a friend pose under an alias who I later found out worked with Dave Thomas Foundation.

  4. Joe Ashby

There is a whole network of these people worldwide. Some are ignorant, but some are Illuminati. Satan has slowly changed the music, the message, and even the Bibles used in churches. We have left churches who push this stuff with an agenda in our region, as well as left churches where people are just blind to it. Jesus, the Bible, the old ways. Only safe road…….

    • Carol

Do you think their song ‘Shine on Us’ has an obvious illuminati content?, it says ”heart of stone into a prism, from back and white to vibrant colours”. Reminds me of Pink Floyd.

      • Michael

        Carol,

Pink Floyd having a prism their album cover has nothing to do with Bethel Music!

When your pass light through a prism it separates the light into colors. There’s nothing demonic or dark about that!

        • C.H. Fisher

True, there is nothing demonic about a prism separating light into colors. However, but the use of it in magic and the occult is well documented. An example from an occult writing; “The Occult Prism in the Sirius Refracting Light for Uniformity of Laws within the Creation.” Thus, although a prism is harmless, like other harmless symbols it can be used symbolically to represent evil. Additionally, I know of at least one interfaith group that refers to the prism as a symbol of their beliefs. For those reasons and to avoid any confusion I advise Christians not to use the prism as a symbol in connection with their faith. However, some professing Christians display symbols used by evil religions or the occult in tattoos or on a t-shirt, sometimes mingling them with Christian symbolism. It is at the least unsavory.

          • I wonder!

Very saddened to say but I concur C.H.F.
The closer we get to the final days, the sweeter the sound of the siren will be heard. I cannot judge a mans heart before God, but I can rightly divide the Word of Truth 2 Tim 2:15
My heart is truely grieved to know of & love many souls of whom, if not challenged in the spirit of God’s love & grace to also have error revealed to them, could be misdirected thru’ the wide gate of acceptance, with eternal consequences.

          • Fran

God is all about redeeming those things HE created that have been hijacked by satan.
Light is His ….. prisons are His!!!
Bethel Music is not demonic …. not cultish. It leads people to worship God the Father …… nothing satan does EVER points anyone to the Father. Good grief get a life!!!

          • Holly Garcia Held

A huge majority of their songs (very best scenario), aren’t based on truth. God’s Word is truth. I know those who love their music and so defend it without being Bereans (Acst 17:11).

Friends, instead of growing angry when something false is being exposed to the light; look into it. Consider it next to Scripture. Learn to discern between good and evil (Heb 5:12-14), because the days are short, and His coming draws near, and Jesus warned that MANY would be deceived and that there would be MANY deceivers. In Christ, Holly

      • David DeLaCruz

Black & white are a very popular Masonic color combo. It portaysctheyr duality. All of the floors in Masonic lodges are black & white tile. If you see it in music videos or movies it’s definteky a sign bc those industries know that symbolism.

        • Mason Skaggs

Maybe focus on Christ instead of satan, satan is INCONSEQUENTIAL comparatively. This article DOES NOT, IN THE LEAST, “expose” darkness. YOu didn’t even tell me why you have come to the conclusion that Bethel is in league with satan. Click-baitey. You think the lyrics, “I raise a Hallelujiah in the presence of my enemies.” is satanic? Foolishness.

          • C.H. Fisher

            Bethel Music’s Amanda Lindsey Cook

          • David DeLaCruz

😑 “foolishness” is attempting to refute the fact that fans of Bethel Music are singing praises in the presence of Satan using the lyric “I raise a “hallelujah!”, IN THE PRESENCE OF MY ENEMIES”.

Christians raise a “Hallelujah” in the presence of The Holy Spirit. Bethel Music fans are apparently either claiming God their enemy or if Satan is present, it is then that they sing the praise. I suppose it really doesn’t matter, either route leads to Hell 🤷‍♂️, does it not?

Regardless, however, if this devil worship lyric was a Jesus worshipping lyric would that mean we can call it all good & “foolishly” dive in? Wolves must hide in sheeps clothing otherwise we’d run for the hills. Be cautious. EVERYTHING that we expose ourselves to, whether we want to believe it or not, has effect on us. Bethel church is full of unbiblical works; the author of this article stated this as well as scripture asking how anything good could come from something that’s bad. Apparently, the article is NOT “click-baitey” it’s something some people need to hear & the only thing “click-baitey” is the single lyric argument. Looked genuine but leads to a dead end.
My mom has the same problem. Toby MAC has a song called “ill-m-i” with the word “Illuminati” & “mayhem” used throughout the song. The all seeing eye is used throughout his branding as well as diversity while Christians are commanded to be separate from the world & she just can’t admit his secular-sampling, worldly music is not occult-based & not of God. It is NOT worth it. We MUST be vigilant.

      • Augusta Lee

I do believe, yes…because if it was really biblically based it would say “heart of stone to heart of flesh”

  5. Johnny

Those dang heretics! I mean just read these lyrics! I can’t believe it

Bethel Music – For The Cross Lyrics

    The life You gave
    Your body was broken
    Your love poured out
You bled and You died for me
    There on the cross
You breathed Your last as you were crucified
You gave it all for me

    Hallelujah, what a Savior
    Hallelujah, what a friend
    Hallelujah, King forever
We thank You for the cross

    There in the ground
    Sealed in the darkness
    Lifeless laid
The frame of the Father’s son
    In agony
He watched His only Son be sacrificed
He gave it all for me

    But on that day
What seemed as the darkest hour
    A violent hope
Broke through and shook the ground
    And as You rose
The Light of all the world was magnified
    And You rose in victory

    Hallelujah, it is finished
    Hallelujah, it is done
    Hallelujah, King forever
We thank you for the cross

    Though our sins are scarlet
You have made us white as snow

Good call on this one C.H.

    • C.H. Fisher

So according to your logic, as long as the “sheep’s clothing” is in place, it is okay to support a music group from a diabolical cult. It does not matter if they draw thousands of unsuspecting professing Christians into darkness, as long as they do it with Christian-sounding lyrics.

By the same logic, would you defended a pastor who preached the pure Gospel every Sunday morning, with souls being saved, but molested his daughter the night before. After all, he preached the pure Gospel.

The hundreds of people who followed Jim Jones to Guyana drank real Kool Aid. It was the same Kool Aid mothers give their children on a hot summer day. The only difference was the poison that was added.

So when you defend Bethel Music, maybe you should add a disclaimer so that people will not imbibe the heresy disseminated by the church they are from. When you accept the sheep’s clothing, be sure to warn people about the wolf. When you knowingly sit under the ministry of a pedophile pastor, please consider warning everyone to do as he says, and not as he does.

By the way, if you will send me those lyrics again and underline the name of Jesus, I would appreciate it. Those dang heretics! I cannot believe they left out the name of Jesus in that clever song. However, had they included “Jesus”, discerning Christians would know they did not mean the true Son of God, but the false Bethel Church “Jesus”. The Jesus I surrendered my life to does not cavort with demons, and He does not lead me to listen to music that comes from diabolical sources no matter how Christian-sounding it is.

Matthew 24:24 is being fulfilled. Guard your hearts! The final and great deception does not appear diabolical. It is arriving through Satan’s emissaries that appear as ministers of righteousness. (2 Corinthians 11:15)

      • JD

I ‘m listening to “Come to me”of Bethel and the singer mentioned the Name of Jesus..
So how can u explain that “someone who adores satan” dare proclaiming Jesus’Name ?

        • C.H. Fisher

One cannot present a false Jesus unless they mention the name Jesus. It is amazing, but also sad, how little it takes today to lure someone into deception. For a large number of professing Christians, it merely takes a song. They will ignore a massive amount of evil and evil people, for a song. “What would a man give in exchange for his soul?” The problem is, one can not get it back once it is lost in the final deception, delusion, and apostasy.

          • Cristel

Your information here is not founded on Biblical truth. You use scare tactic to push your own selfish agenda whatever that may be. And as we know the spirit of fear is not of God. If a congregation is fruit bearing and leading people to Christ and closer to God then that is not of Satan. Satan wants to seek and destroy not show people the way to know God. Also you imply that people are losing their souls to Satan as the worship God. Newsflash…the Word says in John 10:27&28 “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.” I am concerned that you are discouraging the union of believers to worship God. How do we know you aren’t the wolf in sheep’s clothing out on a witch hunt seeking what you can devour, disband or create conflict.
Isn’t that what Satan does? Just saying. The Bible says to encourage and not to tear down. At no point did you offer an alternative way of worshipping God. So what is your faith and how has your life been transformed by Jesus Christ?
I am definitely questioning your creditability and your general knowledge of the Word from your analysis here. I will pray for you. Peace

          • Keven

AMEN dude! People hate on bethel so much! Who are we to criticize the holy spirit? In the apostles time people thought that the disciples were drunk, out of their mind, or false teachers. I would advise you to be wary of what you call “Work of satan” brother. I Also agree with Cristal above. A house divided against itself cannot stand. If it truly was Satans work i don’t think people would be getting saved. How about you go to Bethel and see for yourself what the heart of the church is before you start releasing your claims to true seekers. I’m sure you have heard of wigglesworth, hahaha look up some of the things he did. And he’s highly regarded as a faith-filled believer. Also look at the fruit and spirit in which you are speaking. Is it out of concern or is it a deeper motivator.
Just some ideas I’m sure we’ll talk with Jesus about it one day hahahaha Love you man!

          • C.H. Fisher

Before I deal with the rest of your post, I caution you about the misuse of the word “hate.” It came straight out of the militant homosexual movement and political Progressives. Declaring someone as “hating” or a “hater” for disagreeing with you is clearly a false accusation.

At no time have I criticized the Holy Spirit. I believe that if Smith Wigglesworth were to visit Bethel, he would begin rebuking demons. I remember when a close associate of Wigglesworth, a “son in the faith”, was asked what he thought about the manifestations that are as the foolishness occurring at Bethel. He had one word—“Demons!”

The fact is, I am not a “dude” or a novice. I have ben a Christian long enough to have watched this wickedness come in. We are warned in 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 that Satan is coming with all power, signs, lying wonders, and all deceivableness of unrighteousness. That is what is being witnessed at Bethel and throughout the New Apostolic Movement.

Nonetheless, people of your ilk are not going to listen to truth. If you were born in the last 30-40 years, you were born during the great and final apostasy. It is doubtful that you have ever experience or witnessed a genuine work of the Holy Spirit. You think Bethel is valid because you do not have truth to compare it with.

This is not a game! The deception is going to get much worse. If you can’t even discern a flagrantly diabolical work, such as Bethel, how are you going to survive when the night gets darker?

Check out their mission. Please look into the heart before you judge. Perhaps one of the sheep fell or made their own doctrine. DO NOT JUDGE THE SHEPHERD BY THE SHEEP. It is very bad to call the things of God works of Satan. Please, please, please, be careful! I’m sure you have been have immersed yourself in the word 7 days a week as i have been doing. As we all should be doing in times like these. Man i don’t mean to kick a dead dog but you must be careful. I care for all brothers under Christ. We must not judge and point fingers at proffesing brothers. We have to look into the heart and weigh the spirit. Look for yourself. Go to Bethel. Seek for the truth. Please. If you go and feel led to leave. Then leave. Thats what i plan on doing. But i know if my daddy (your daddy, our daddy in heaven) is in it. I’ll know. I spend time with him in prayer everyday. He is my dad. I hope you talk to him and be honest with him. He loves you. He always has. please do not hate on your brothers. He loves them to…

This quote is from you. Satan doesn’t have any power. Look it up. The Lord took it away. I rebuke you quit trying to cause division. I’m here to find
truth that is why i came to your site in the first place. I don’t think what you say on this post is out of love for your family.
I’m done with these lies and deceit. I love all the family in Christ but it’s time to stop causing divisions with each other for publicity, or somehow trying to make you seem better. If you truly wanted to fix the problem you would go there yourself to rebuke them. WHERE IS YOUR FAITH?
            Goodbye God Bless you

          • C.H. Fisher

Keven, you just rejected God’s word. That is how a deceived mind works. Read it again. Here it is straight from the Bible.
“9 The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, 10 and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. 11 And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, 12 that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10

          • Fran

Would you ….. in all your wisdom ….. explain to me this false Jesus you say Bethel teaches? Have you ever been to Bethel?
Really dude …… you keep mentioning him …… how do you know ?? I just really want you to explain!

          • C.H. Fisher

Imagine a seasoned Muslim terrorist that has from the earliest age of cognition being taught to hate, kill, and that his religion is the only God-ordained truth. Unless he surrenders to the Holy Spirit conviction and accepts truth, he will never be convinced that he is wrong. Likewise, nothing I write will convince you of your error. The Holy Spirit will have to reveal it to you.

No one deceived by Bethel or another cult believes that he or she is deceived. In his or her mind, everything the cult does agrees with the Bible. He or she will even accept that the cults demonic spirits are the Spirit of God.

This is the last days, a period of great and very clever deception, which makes Bethel’s deception more powerful. The final and great apostasy is now beyond critical mass, which makes it even more difficult for deceived people. One has to want to be delivered.

You are in an extremely dangerous situation. The only way out begins with distancing yourself from the demonic influence. I advise you to get as far away from Bethel’s influence as possible, to pray and ask God to clearly reveal the truth to you, and read nothing but the Bible. If you can fast, then also fast. I pray that you take my advice.

          • Scott Wentzloff

CH FISHER IS SERIOUSLY WARPED IN HIS MIND AND possibly SPIRIT. May God himself give him a Paul experience to stop persecuting his own “supposed” family of believers. Seriously stop looking for a devil in every corner of your soul. Your the one playing with demonic influences. Your being played like a fiddle. Satan like yours is always the power of suggested pre-suppositions. You are the one spending more time tearing down than building up. Your words prove how little you actually seek out Christ the healer. Your the type and shadow that keeps people away from God. Your drawing nobody in except demons cheering you on. Bethel should sue you for all your slander. You have no hard actual facts/evidence. You use your own insecurities and hearsay’s as your un- righteous evidence. Take this to God with Paul’s heart after the donkey because you’ve been riding you high donkey thinking your on your high horse. Grow up man and start becoming a real man. Take a look at the stuff necked part of scripture and look in the mirror. Judgement is left to God. Start healing my friend we are all flawed. Your not the savior of bethel God is.

          • C.H. Fisher

Thank you for replying. If Bethel wishes to sue me )and the other ones who expose their satanic works and words), it is certainly their prerogative in this country. However, they will probably leave alone a peon like me. As for your condemnation of me, please consider that when I present an expose’ against heretical people, I use for criteria their words and actions. However, you have not provided any evidence of what you have accused me of. But no worries–I am not going to sue you.

          • Tered

CH Fisher why do you look suspect? You’re trying wayyy too hard here. And you have the glasses.

        • Jay

So they said Jesus so they must be Christian? You are as naive as it gets.
Here is the bible saying Jesus was man and God.

          Hebrew 1:3
“He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power.”

Here is Bill Johnson saying Jesus was not divine. Bethel strips away the divinity of Christ and places it upon themselves.

“Jesus did everything as a man, laying aside His divinity in order to become a model for us.”

“…Jesus did everything in His earthly ministry as a man who had set aside all His divine privileges and power in order to model the Christian life for us.”

“..Jesus set aside His divinity, choosing instead to live as a man completely dependent on God.”

“…He laid his [sic] divinity aside as He sought to fulfill the assignment given to Him by the Father: to live life as a man without sin…”

You are ignorant, that’s all there is to it. And to say someone is “hating” because they see Bethel’s fundamental errors is plain stupid.

          • Lauralei Clower

The way I interpret all of those quotes is that they are saying that Jesus became a man for a time and lived life on earth as a human, for a time, so that he could become the ultimate sacrifice on the cross for the redemption of all humanity. They are not saying the Christ is not LORD… the quotes are pointing out what scripture already tells us.. that Jesus did not consider equality with God something to be grasped

            Philippians 2:5-11
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.
            Though he was God,
he did not think of equality with God
            as something to cling to.
            Instead, he gave up his divine privileges;
he took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When he appeared in human form,
he humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.
Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.

By this standard of judgement, no one is worthy. Your worship team might have half it’s members who shouldn’t be up there because of their behavior/thoughts the previous week. Pastors aren’t immune either. If a song tells us the story of God’s love and walks us through redemption, I have no problem with it. TGC wrote an article this week about Bethel music but also mentioned the authors who penned “A Mighty Fortress” and “It is Well”. The heart of man is dark; the love of Jesus is light in that darkness. Feel good songs are not worship: songs that tell the Gospel are.

        • C.H. Fisher

The only standard of judgment has to be God’s word. However, one has to recognize the error in order to compare it to God’s word. The error is not necessarily the music in isolation, but the apostasy that people are being lured into. I used the illustration of a pedophile offering candy to a child. There is nothing wrong with the candy except it is in the hands of a pedophile.

Likewise, the emissaries of Satan cannot lure people into deception offering them flagrantly diabolical substance. The lure has to be alluring. It must look, taste, feel, sound, and resonate in such a way as to entice people to accept it. Thus, they appear as “ministers of righteousness” (2 Corinthians 11:15) and weak professing Christians remark, “I see nothing wrong with these godly people. They are speak the name of Jesus and declare God’s love.”

The factor that is being ignored is the intensity and cleverness of deception. Christ warned about its effectiveness.
“For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.” (Matthew 24:24)

How effective as a lure would Bethel Music be if they sound like people banging on garbage cans, plucking homemade one-string instruments, and singing discordant? No one denies the quality of musical performance, or whether there is good content in the lyrics. It was always about in whose hands the candy is in, and the deception individuals are being drawn into.

For example, Amanda Cook espouses New Age concepts, e.g., the Christ Consciousness. When one listens to her lyrics, does he or she consider that the Christ she sings about may actually be a New Age Christ and not the true Son of God?

God chooses to draw people to Him by the Holy Spirit. Satan will use anything appealing to the flesh to lure souls into his snare. Do physically unattractive, shabbily-dressed, women lure men into adultery or fornication? Satan will use any deceptive means that attracts unsuspecting professing Christians.

The contrast of posts in this thread makes it clear that some people do not recognize the devices of Satan. They appear to have ignored the warning in Matthew 24:24. They are fixated on the beautiful and enticing qualities of the lure, are mesmerized by the clever disguises of the ones that offer it, while completely ignoring the obvious wickedness behind it all.

          • Netzki

            Good day sir..
Thank you for all your posts..its all enlightening and encouraging🙏
In as much I am concerned as you do, the Bethel Music has infiltrated our church music and the reason why I was able to access in this blogs ..I was looking for something like this…Pls keep posting exposing all this kind of deceptions..
            May God bless you more🙏

      • Lauralei Clower

Are you certain you are not the wolf? How many points on the tulip do you ascribe to? You said in your original message that we need to use discernment and the Holy Spirit. How do you know that the people who are being ministered to from this group are not following the Holy Spirit. How do you know you are? Take all thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ Jesus. I hope that you have taken the time to sincerely ask the LORD to reveal any bias in your own heart before writing an article like this. For many years my soul was so thirsty as I sat in a Calvinistic church.. didn’t even know it… I couldn’t hear the voice of my father and I was so thirsty (how could I hear his voice when I was hearing a false Jesus). I went to a different church that was offering healing prayer and I was set free of fear and anxiety in a miraculous way… I heard the voice of my Father. The sheep know is voice. We are not stupid, we are not mislead. It’s fully because even Jesus was accused of casting out demons by the power of the devil. He also said his true followers would be persecuted in a similar way to him. You should trust that the victory is already won and stop giving so much power and credit to our defeated foe. Jesus prayed that we would be one.. I pray for that too and I also pray for everyone who is bound by false religion and man made rules to receive freedom from the Holy Spirit. True worshipers will worship in spirit and truth.. Where the spirit of the LORD is, THERE IS FREEDOM.. Jesus can not lose any one of us.. we can not be snatched from him.. Our names are written in the lambs book of life. When Jesus comes many will be surprised to see that they were never really sealed in him by his spirit.. Their lips sang his praises but their hearts were far from him. I imagine it will be much like the days when Jesus came. The teachers of the law “knew” the law so well that they killed the King of all Kings.. The couldn’t recognize him because he didn’t fit into their religion. Let us beware least be become the same way. Lord have mercy.

        • C.H. Fisher

Wolves are identified by their fruit. Bethel Church has the fruit of witchcraft, New Age practices and beliefs, numerous heresies, false prophecies, and even blasphemy. That is in addition to their “grave sucking,” SOZO, astrology, cult characteristics, and being a linchpin of the New Apostolic Reformation, itself a heretical Movement dedication to satanic lying signs and wonders.

It’s musical branch, Bethel Music, is merely the siren song that leads unsuspecting, weak, professing Christians into its fold.

Regarding “the tulip” that you mentioned, I do not know what that has to do with Bethel Music. It certainly has nothing to do with my faith in God and His word.

      • Kathryn Chumney Cook

I agree with this 100 percent. Our lives should reflect Christ in all areas. We can’t be a pedophile and preach the true Word of God. If our life doesn’t reflect Christ in every area we need to really seek to make sure we know Jesus personally. Same with our music…it needs to reflect Jesus Christ. Brothel and Hillsong both do not go by the true Word of God.

      • Dawn

Pointing out evil in everything makes it hard to love in this world. I listen to Christian music and IF it’s evil and satanic , the devil is doing a bad job, I love Jesus so much and he’s all LOVE. I was just Baptized. The more you keep pointing out all the evil around us, the harder it is to Love everyone around us. Jesus is Love and when we think everyone and everything around us is bad, we trust no one and how can you Love in this chaotic world when you have Christians telling other Christians they’re listening to satanic music. I can point out so many scriptures to you as well for what you’re doing. God Bless us all!! If we want to worship and praise Jesus through music , who are you to say we’re praising satanic music? Brothers and Sisters, pray, read your Bible and always praise Jesus. The devil can also work amongst all us to stop us from worshipping by pointing out good as evil. What does that do? You stop all worshipping and praising to the Almighty God because you think what you’re doing is evil. Read Matthew 11:18-19. Love you all!!❤️🙏🏻

        • C.H. Fisher

First, you should know that whatever makes your flesh tingle with pleasure is nota proper way to determine if music is approved by God. Second, considering the millions of individuals being lured by Bethel Music, then perhaps Satan is doing an excellent job with his musical offerings.

The fact is, what you are advocating in your post is unbiblical. If a Believer followed your advice, he or she would not long remain a genuine Believer. This is not a game. When one rejects discernment, and the voice of warning from God’s watchmen, they will soon be denuded of God’s armor, and will no longer alert, sober, and vigilant. If enough professing Christians fell into such a pit, there would be little significant opposition to Satan’s minions. They would sow whatever evil and deceive as many people as they wish. Someone who does not have agape love may have no concern about that consequence. The ones who are indwelled by the Holy Spirit love people enough that they expose the unfruitful works of darkness and warn God’s people about the danger.

The fact is that there is preaching and teaching that is of God, and preaching and teaching influenced by Satan. Likewise, there is music by godly people and music produced by deceivers. Merging it all together and ignoring people who point out the difference is a dangerous choice in this present great apostasy. God’s word condemns such worship.

“But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” — John 4:23-24

    • jonathan

      Whats wrong with this song?

      • C.H. Fisher

Why are you focusing on the music? Did you read the article. What’s wrong with the candy a pedophile uses to snare an child victim? Of course, there is nothing wrong with the candy except that in the hands of the pedophile it’s a lure. Pleasing music that leads people into fatal bondage is also a lure.

        • Danny murdach

I agree with you 100 percent. Them and Jesus culture. They have music that is sensual and attracts many. Yea, some of there music is ok but it goes back to the saying the clock that doesn’t run is right twice a day. They do have a hidden agenda. They teach at there concerts and it is not biblical. People are working in the spirit but it isn’t the spirit of God. Very, very, dangerous times we are in.

        • Charlotte Dunlap

It’s hard to understand why Christians can not see that it doesn’t matter how wonderful their lyrics are, if they are practicing evil (grave sucking, drunk in the spirit etc), they should run from any music they sing. I go to a good church but they have played Methel music and have mentioned Bethel music in worship. Since I know about Bethel Church a huge red flag went up when I noticed this recently.
I read this article as preparation to warn my church.

          • OPEN YOUR EYES

Yes they do all sorts of demonic things and christians are fooled because they mention Jesus in a song… dont you unwise christians understand that the devil will give you as much truth as it takes in order to get you to lower your guard? Grave sucking and you dont get it? Easy pickings the christians are…….

          • Kathryn

If Christians can’t see this they need to seek the Lord to know if they truly belong to Jesus. It’s very clear to me.

        • D

You are nuts! You’re the one that’s being blinded by the devil!

          • C.H. Fisher

When two professing Christians declare that the other one is deceived, which happens quite often today, the evidence exposing which one is correct is God’s word. Bethel Music is the lure for Bethel Church, a New Apostolic Reformation entity. God’s word exposes Bethel Church as a work of darkness. Bethel Music is as candy offered by a pedophile to a child. There is nothing wrong with the candy until it becomes the lure of a pedophile. Focusing on the quality of the candy without considering who is offering it is immature. It is why children are kidnapped. Bethel Church wishes to lure God’s children into deception. It’s music is the lure. To support and defend it is to support and defend the End-Times work of Satan. Do you support the NAR with its occult activities and heresies?

        • Fran

You my friend are treading on very thin ice with your accusations.
You are the one that is being deceived. Funny thing about deception it’s sooooo deceiving.
I test all things and it is not for you to make accusations or judgement calls on something you know not of!!!
satan knows Gods word …. HE know The Word made flesh.
Before one starts spouting judgements against any ministry or minister one had better done all their homework.
Funny thing is when it all burns your OPINION do not matter!!!!
I am a lover of Jesus Christ … not Bethel, not the music ….. however those two are what have brought me to a place of Sozo …. everything Christ died for. So Sir be very careful with your words …. I believe you will be held accountable for them ….. everyone! That part is in RED in my bible.

          • C.H. Fisher

I approved this post because it is a stark reality of the great deception’s depth and completeness. Sozo is satanic. Bethel is a great demonic snare with a false Jesus and false Holy Spirit. Individuals tare deceived by Bethel had to reject love for truth somewhere along the way and are under a great delusion. Delusion is defined as “holding to a belief in the presence of evidence normally sufficient to destroy it.” With all the evidence to the contrary, and the testimonies of individuals who have been delivered from Bethel, its flagrant heresies, demonic activities, including the bondage of Sozo, one must be under a great delusion to remain in its grip. Christ warned us that the great and final deception would be so clever that it could deceive the very elect, if that were possible. Sadly, you ignored that warning and now you cannot understand that you have swapped the positions of good and evil. Please heed the warning because it is not going to get easier to recognize truth. You are in grave danger of eternal separation from God. There is nothing “funny” about deception in the last days. There is nothing “funny” about the coming wrath of God. A true lover of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ that is filled with the Holy Spirit would not be associated with Bethel in anyway. It is as clear as the choice to eat at 5 star restaurant or in a garbage dump.

    • Kay

Yep. Nothing wrong those lyrics on that particular song. However, the fact is they mix New Age cult practices into the church. Satan masquerades as an angel of light a minister of righteousness but is liar perverting truth. He tells lies to the leaders and they mix it with truth resulting in truth mixed with error. They mix Gnosticism as Manichaeism of the 3rd century. The result is Kundalini serpent power of Satan based on sensuality emotionalism, and subjective experiences. There are no sleeping holy angels to awake with tuning forks in the desert dry places as Beni Johnson claims she is under a strong delusion of another spirit. Rather, it is evil familiar spirits that dwell in the dry desert places according to scripture.

    • Lauralei Clower

Wow, is this song speaking of Jesus?!!

  6. jonathan

Im confused. Whats wrong with the song mentioned above? And can someone show me proof of tuning forks, fire tunnels etc…?

    • Charlotte Dunlap

You can see YouTube videos of Bethel Church’s fire tunnel, them getting drunk in the spirit etc. it is frightening how evil it is. You can also see pictures of Benji Johnson on the web grave soaking along with other church members.

  7. jonathan

Since when is it wrong to not include the name Jesus in every worship song? Can you show me in the bible where instructions are given on how to construct worship songs? Are you also aware that the name Jesus does not exist in the Hebrew, Aramaic bible AND the Dead Sea Scrolls? Yeshua is his name and Jesus is not the direct translation. I understand that there are countless corrupt churches out there but you should accuse cautiously cause we might be stepping on Yeshua’s toes. I am open to any good evidence anybody has.

    • Tani

Personally, if there is any cause to question the church (and after reading this information, I am worried). So, I will not listen to their songs or anything else they have to say. Why? Because, I long to be with Jesus when I die and I am NOT taking any chances. No one should risk it.

  8. S.P.

Tons of evidence on You Tube and elsewhere for the soul truly seeking
truth. Sincerely pray you connect with the true Jesus of the Scriptures and that the Holy Spirit leads you into all truth.

  9. Adam

96 O sing unto the Lord a new song: sing unto the Lord, all the earth.
2 Sing unto the Lord, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day.
3 Declare his glory among the heathen, his wonders among all people.

    (1. I would throw rocks at barrels to worship god if that was my only option. What a wonderful blessing it is that they have all that wonderful sound for the Lord! They certainly appear to be singing new songs to the Lord like the scripture says.

    Romans 16:17
I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

C.H. you are causing division. And confusion. We need to be uniting as Christians and coming against things TOGETHER in unity. We have things marriage (the structure of family) under attact and Abortion. We can all agree on many of these issues and come together and make a stand that counts and make a difference. Please check out (http://www.awmi.net/declaration/)
Everyone from Baptist, Methodist, AG, non -domain organizations are standing together for this. We don’t all agreel on everything, that for sure, but we can still be United together in unity.

To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak. I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.

If we are to find common ground with unbelievers how can we not find common ground amongst ourselves.

My friends, we have been deceived so that the world around us can spin out of control with sin. It’s time to rise up together. We will be unstoppable as one unit with different tasks and strengths. Divided we fall.

    • C.H. Fisher

The word of God does cause division. Christ also brings division (Matt. 10:34). We are to separate ourselves from the works of darkness and expose them. That means division.

Certainly, when the great and final apostasy is full, all denominations will be included. There will be many more deceived and delusional professing Christians in an unholy union than true Christians.

A good test of whether or not you are bonding with the spirit of the apostasy, or are following the Holy Sprit, is evidenced by whom you support, associate with, promote, and receive from. Bethel Church is a very dangerous and heretical cult. Their diabolical music is a lure. If one promotes and supports the music, that person will be held responsible for every individual that loses his or her soul to the Bethel deception.

This is not a game! You can play loose with darkness if you wish. You are a free moral agent. There is ver little accountability in this day of autonomous professing Christians. But one day, just as God’s word declares, you will stand before Him in judgement.

      • CL Black

        C. H Fisher, I agree with what you are saying across the board and about Bethel. Ive done some background searching and find it very disturbing to say the least. I too was “caught up” in the music in the beginning but then I started noticing some changes in my attitude toward it and was lead to check them out…so glad I followed that leading. It seems more obvious somehow to hear the error in preaching but in the “worship” music we sing not so much…its easy to get lost in the rythm of the music and ignore the words altogether. Thanks for your insights on Bethel, thats been my thoughts as well. Matthew 10:24,25 “A student is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master. It is enough for the student to be like his teacher, and the servant like his master. If the head of the house has been called Beelzebub, (prince of demons) how much more the members of his household.” Jesus words.

      • JOHN GERRITSEN

amen,BILL JOHNSON and his gang practice and mix Kundalini yoga in with their warped Christianity .THEY MAKE false prophecies and include many Pagan practices in their modus operandi ,namely sucking impartations from the bodies of anointed departed saints, fire tunnels ,jerking like they are demon possessed.Angel orbs,GLORY CLOUDS which looks like smoke coming from the Ventilation ducts are common occurences at their drunk in the spirit orgys .THEY also interpret auras as a sign of PROPHECTIC INTREPATION .BEWARE !!!!

      • Keven

Mathew 10:34 is referring to the division in the Earth NOT the church family. We are not talking out of anger we are talking in concern for the common good of believers under the head of our Lord Jesus. Thats whats important. Sure some crazy things happen at bethel. Things that maybe you and i can’t understand or believe. But what matters is that they believe that Jesus died for our sins and he rose from the dead. He made it possible for us to have an imitate relationship with our Father. Please pray about this I’ll be praying for you sir. Prayer for me as well! I can always use it. I’m learning every day just as you are 🙂 bless you brother

crazy things don’t happen at a bible believing church…God is a God of order..not chaos..it has been very clearly communicated to you about the numerous apostasies of bethel church…you still decry the lack of unity …there can be no unity with darkness…Jesus said he came to bring a sword…He was divisive…against the darkness…you must discern …

      • Marius

Hi, readung the posts and surely agree with you. Keep exposing the evil that is leading so many astray. Reading Isaiah 14 makes it clear that Lucifer is full of music and use it to deceive many.

Jesus brought us Grace and truth may we seek to love His truth and not be lead by our feelings and emotions.

    • Danny murdach

No. They are not biblical. The music is just an avenue to their false teaching. It’s not about an encounter that is full of emotions. I felt chills at a metallica concert. We have to engage in a relationship with Jesus with a sound mind and self control. Not flopping around and in a trance like state.

All I know is I’m not in the position to judge. I dont know that pastor personally nor the church since I havent been there myself. Anyone can fabricate a false testimony against a Church leader or even against me and people can be fast-believing. All I know is there are more important issues to focus on like discipling and winning our nations for Jesus.

    • C.H. Fisher

That is exactly the attitude that has allowed Satan to invade and decimate much of Christianity. It is called the “Ostrich Complex”. Although God’s word declares that He ordains watchmen who must warn people, and that we must expose the unfruitful works of darkness, the majority of professing Christians would rather remain blind. If you believe that way, why even visit this site and blog?
Now consider the truth. Suppose you need a babysitter for your young daughter. You have two names, so you check out their references. Why even do that if wilfull blindness is appropriate? What if people tell you that one of the individuals is a pedophile who preys on young girls? Will you say, “Oh, anyone can fabricate a false testimony”?
Concerning Bethel Church, they have certainly “fabricated a false testimony”. Conversely, I am presenting information based on their own words. However, instead of checking that information, which is as easy as visiting their website, you chose to leave the gates open for them. If indeed you have light from the Light, who is Christ, you will expose the darkness.

      • Danny murdach

I agree. There will come a time when they won’t endure sound doctrine. People are heaping up false teachers for their itching ears. Instead of confirming the world to Scripture, these teachers trys to conform the Scripture to the world. We are suppose to do each out. Preach, rebuke, reproof, exhort. We are in the latter days.

    • craig

you are in a position to discern and to expose the works of darkness. Many many professed Christians have warned against Bethel…YOUR INTENTIONAL IGNORANCE BEGS THE QUESTION WHAT CHRIST IS BEING WORSHIPPED BY YOU

  12. Larissa

Preach it CH!! Thank you for pointing people to the truth. I know so many people who get swept up in these emotional feeling songs and have no concern of their source. A lot of people from our church have moved to Redding. I don’t know how they attract so many young people ( who all use “glory” like a buzzword) but I am frustrated at the lack of discernment in the church today. Keep shining light on these things.

  13. Susan

I would be interested in a list of so called “good” worship music. If Hillsong and Bethel music are bad, exactly what CAN I listen to?

    • Holly

Susan, each individual is responsible to ‘prove all things’ (1 Thess 5:21) and to search the Scriptures to see if these things are so (Acts 17:11). We cannot rely on others to give us a list of ‘good music’ but to remember what the Lord told us would happen in the last days. Much apostasy, a great falling away from the faith. Many deceived, Many deceivers (many is not a few, but MANY).

Just check the lyrics according to the Word. Know their gospel. Jesus said we would know these ravening wolves in sheep’s clothing by their fruits, then proceeds to show us what their fruits are (doctrine) of justifying themselves by their ‘wonderful works’ by their casting out of demons, by calling Him Lord, Lord, etc. But He never knew them. Probably very little out there we can listen to, so be cautious, be wise as a serpent, but harmless as a dove.

      • Keven

Holly fruits are not doctrine! You guys are very silly indeed! Hahaha what do you think Jesus meant when he said beware of the leaven of the pharisees?NO Fruit is your works. Your works are shown in your ministry. People talk an awful lot about what bethel worship does. Fine its weird. But what about all their mission work. The Redding area is one of the most evangalized areas in the U.S. When was the last time you stepped out(in Public) about your faith and told them that Jesus loves them? Jesus does love us you know. Father didn’t send us Jesus for no reason. He sent us Jesus to save the world because he loves us. Yeah their are many false doctrines. Even Catholicism doctrine is wrong but people don’t ever mention them. What about Jahova’s witnesses? Because bethel is seeing some incredible things does not mean they are evil. It says that there will be many false doctrines and the doctrine of the beast will be meant to glorify the devil. The only thing they do at Bethel is glorify the Lord i know 3 Bethel graduates and they truly are faith-filled people. I’m not bashing those other religions but christianity isn’t supposed to be like those. Its not supposed to be a religion at all. Its about relationship which is what i’ve been trying to say this whole time.

        • C.H. Fisher

Sadly, one of the characteristics of a deceived individual is that they assume someone who confront their deception cannot possibly be involved in ministry. I feel pity for Redding. I can only hope there are godly people there who are exposing Bethel and warning people. Bethel by all definitions is a cult.

    • Heidi

I would really like to know that as well

    • Erica

A lot of the hymns are great worship music. I highly recommend Keith and Kristyn Getty, who compose and produce ‘modern’ hymns. Also, Sovereign Grace is a good, safe choice in my opinion. Holly has provided some excellent points in response to your question. Prayer and research, discerning and more prayer. And she is correct in saying that there is very little out there we can and should listen to.

Essentially, always be prepared to give an account for what it is you believe and yes it is the truth that YOU know that makes you free.
Test every spirit. According to 1 John 4:1. Lets not be ignorant, the bible doesnt make allowance for us Born Again Believers to be ignorant and as we all know We perish through lack of knowledge. Whatever you believe make sure it is the TRUTH, there is only one TRUTH

Wow, first of all you need not to slander Bethel Music.. reading your article i did not see any evidence of how bethel music is not using their worship music to do the will of Jesus? I just see a bunch of slander and i do not understand where this is coming from? is it because it is not the traditional worship music? Im still not understanding? I see scriptures but i do not see what bethel is doing to go against them? do not lead a lot of people astray for your accusations.

    • C.H. Fisher

You wrote,”I see scriptures but i do not see what bethel is doing to go against them?” So, you confess that you do not see, but accuse me of slander. Bethel Church Redding, CA is a New Apostolic Reformation church. Please research the NAR and perhaps you will understand why we are exposing Bethel’s spiritually lethal musical lure.

    • Holly

Here is an article I did with a huge amount of documentation of their false teaching (Bethel) and all the things that do not line up with the Word of God. They are slanderous against the truth of God’s Word, they lie, and the people love to have it so. Please check this out and see if you can agree with what they are teaching.

    C.H.

I have tried again and again to warn our (now former) church against this, and have received the same types of negative replies as you have ( ‘slander’, ‘pronouncing judgement’, ‘causing division’, etc.).
The Emergent Church (Hybels, Rick Warren, Francis Chan, Beth Moore, Joyce Meyer, et al) is already deluded and IS NOT LISTENING to the message of REPENT. They just keep pushing forward with their man-made, self-serving works agenda.
I am reminded of battles of history. Who went out in front? The psalters, the Heralds, the worship ‘team’. This is nothing more than a full frontal assault done with such guise and cunning as to ‘break our ranks’ and infiltrate. Spiritual wickedness in high places, indeed.
The Word of God tells me to be on guard, to be vigilant, to test EVERYTHING – ESPECIALLY IF IT IS COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE CHURCH, WHETHER IT BE THE PULPIT OR THE MINISTRY.
Test it ALL against the Ultimate Authority for your life as a Christian – test it ALL against God’s Word. Speaking of the Word, ensure that you are not using some watered-down ‘feel good’ ecumenical tome like the NIV, or similar things published by Zondervan, since they seem to be the medium for quite a bit of the heretical teaching.
You also need to know this purvey is not limited to publications, or music, or even heretical teaching. This demonic attack has infiltrated our seminaries. If you don’t believe me, look at some of the courses Dallas Theological Seminary offers, where they incorporate Eastern Mystical Practices into a ‘required regimen’ for ‘drawing closer’ to God. Evil. Pure Evil – masquerading as light.

    • CL Black

David W. I so agree!! Now more than ever we MUST BE TESTING EVERY SPIRIT regardless of where it comes from or what it looks like! Now is NOT the time to be sleeping at our posts..we must stay sober and vigilant and we must study and be aware of our enemy’s tactics…because he certainly is studying us! Thanks for your insight.

    • Heidi

I moved to Redding to attend Bssm 4 years ago, a few years ago I became aware of what has been going on. I honestly feel so lost. I don’t know what church or worship music I can trust. I used to LOVE Beth Moore bible studies. I have a great job here in Redding so I’m not planning on moving away anytime soon.
I need to find a church truly led by God. I feel like it’s just me and God but honestly sometimes that doesn’t feel like enough-though I feel like that’s all I can trust.
What is your advice? Thank you so much!

      • Susan

Heidi, it might take a while to find a good Bible-teaching church in your area, but I pray you don’t give up. Look up “Redding Baptist churches” on the internet just for a start, and start reading their websites to see what they believe and then start going to them. Go somewhere every Sunday and be diligent in checking them out, and don’t give up. And pray, pray, pray for God’s wisdom and direction and protection. I’m not saying all “Baptist” churches are okay — just that it is one place you could start in your search for a Bible-teaching church on the internet. Also, you could check out this site below to see if there are any churches close enough to go to – maybe there are some cities surrounding Redding that are close enough for you to drive to???? http://www.biblebb.com/churches.htm

      • Grace

        Heidi,

I’ve been in the journey for over 20 years just to experience more gut wrenching realities. Finding safety with others has proven near impossible for me. I say this to explain how much I get your feelings of being lost, hyper vigilant and shell shocked from all the bombs of deception, treachery and betrayals that continue to seek to kill and destroy me.

The truth is, we are called to trust no one, save our Lord. How this is done and also have a relationship with others still eludes me. I will be praying for you too!!!

For all others who may take the time to read this…

WE ARE CALLED TO JUDGE OUR SO-CALLED-BROTHER

        TAKE HEED:

9I wrote you in my letter not to associate with immoral people; 10I did not at all mean with the immoral people of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, for then you would have to go out of the world. 11But actually, I wrote to you not to associate with any so-called brother if he is an immoral person, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or a swindler—not even to eat with such a one. 12For what have I to do with judging outsiders? Do you not judge those who are within the church? 13But those who are outside, God judges. REMOVE THE WICKED MAN FROM AMONG YOURSELVES.
        1 Cor 5:9-13

“For certain persons have crept in unnoticed, those who were long beforehand marked out for this condemnation, ungodly persons who turn the grace of our God into licentiousness and deny our only Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.”
        Jude 1:4

MOST IMPORTANTLY just because they say the name of Jesus doesn’t mean they are of Him!

“15 Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16“You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? 17“So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. 18“A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. 19“Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20“So then, you will know them by their fruits.

21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’“
        Matthew 7:15-23

      • SLN

You could also attend Calvary Chaple Redding. This is a Bilbe teaching church. Reach out to them and pray about it.
        May God bless you

  17. Jaeson

I went to a Bethel affiliate church, their “sister church” as it were. The music sounded great, but the teachings grew to be more and more off the longer I attended. It became a church where you couldn’t invite others to, as they would not hear the gospel. It was just “prophetic words,” or “The Lord told me,” etc. This isn’t the Bible. There were sinners in the pew who needed to repent, but this was never the emphasis. The emphasis was on 1) experiences and extra biblical revelation given to the senior pastor and his “apostolic” friends 2) places the pastor had supposedly visited where there were “outpourings of the spirit,” but no one from these places ever got up to say what happened or visited our church to confirm 3) a 3 month series about giving money (every year) since the church was in gross debt for a building they couldn’t afford to purchase 4) talks about “revival/renewal” coming to our city for 20+ years but without any evidence of it. 5) Literally heard a message about hell ONCE in 8 years, and that pastor left. I’m sure there are people in the pews of these churches headed straight to the hell they never preach about.

Worse yet, a close friend’s parent is involved in the whole Vineyard/Bethel/Azusa Now stuff – and they believe an assortment of false doctrines and spread them to others- such as “once saved always saved.” They literally run about with multiple significant others and do everything sexual with them under the sun except “full on sex” and think its ok!!!! So you have to wonder, where is the discernment and actual prophets to set this person straight by preaching the word? ZERO. Instead they run about propagating it, going to every charismania meeting, and being totally deceived.

  18. Danny murdach

Bethel church does not preach the Word. They are part of a new age movement. Mystical garbage. The Gospel is about repentance and faith in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The greatest thing the Holy Spirit does is seals are salvation and conforms us in the image of Jesus. Did Jesus flop around, did He speak gibberish, did He jerk around, or did He act like he had no control of Himself?? There is a spirit in churches like Bethel and its not of God.

  19. A.B.

Do you have any credible sources supporting these claims? I found this talking about some weird “mantle” thing they preach about, but couldn’t find any evidence of what you’re talking about.
    https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=576533689050325&id=148396958530669

I appreciate the article, but stuff like this is hard to believe without any evidence of it. Adding some resources in the article that show Bethel has done this stuff would settle a lot of this debate going on in the comments (not all obviously, but it’d help). Thanks!

    • C.H. Fisher

You should not require further evidence than the information in the resource you posted a link to.

    • Kay

The Bethelite in video preaching mentions wanting the mantle of William Branham. Seriously, you don’t know Branham was clearly a false teacher who denied the Trinity? He reinvented the old heresy of Modalism calling it Oneness Pentacostalism. No new thing under the sun I guess is there? Branham also followed an Indian Guru named Pauluseer Lawrie Mathukrushna from South India claiming this man was Second Coming (Advent) of Christ located at a commune camp Manujothri Asham. That is a clear false Christ that Branham advocated and contrary to scripture. https://www.discerningtheworld.com/2015/10/22/william-branham-and-his-false-christ/

  20. Anna

The first few lines of their song Glory to glory:

    “Created from dust
You came and You lived among us
You took on our frame, You walked in our pain
And now You’re taking us higher”

Created from dust? That should not be overlooked!!

  21. Sam Unruh

I have been deeply bothered by the fact that churches that are otherwise sound are using Bethel music. They do not look into the background of this group – anyone who does will see the pure evil that underlies the false teaching. It is interesting that our pastor spoke on Mark 3, where the demons spoke out and stated who Jesus truly was, “the Son of God”. In this case they were speaking the truth but Jesus commanded them not to speak to reveal who He was. The point that the pastor was making is that demons lie, just like the father of lies. They follow his direction. Although the demons were speaking the truth there was no reason for anyone to actually believe them – since demons are liars. Anyone who thinks that satan and his minions cannot speak the truth when it serves their purpose is clearly not discerning. The very fact that the Bible warns that satan masquerades as an angle of light should put up a red flag. Just because some of the Bethel music “sounds” good, or even has good words, doesn’t mean that the purpose behind it is good. satan loves to “misdirect”. Fishermen don’t generally have good success if they drop unbaited hooks. satan doesn’t operate any differently.

  22. Cristie healy

I just recently ran across Jesus Culture music and loved Spirit Break Out. My question is this am I in danger of anything did I open up anything demonic?

  23. mdavid

I just listened to Bethel worship on youtube. I can’t see any darkness there. Sometimes something is what it looks like. What is really going on is this. Some people emphasise certain parts of scripture, and others different parts. They then build theology on top of this to solidify their initial emphasis. The different groups then proceed to duke it out each claiming to be right. Well I’m done with that, I will follow Him. I have found that he is beautiful and exists in glory

    • C.H. Fisher

You are looking at the wrong picture. The facade of deception is usually pleasant. Johanna Michaelsen called it “The Beautiful Side of Evil.” You should look beyond the alluring music to Bethel Redding, an incredibly diabolical cult/church.

  24. Marvin Dado

There is a man named Andres Bissonni, he has a ministry the question I have is he associated with Bethel?

And btw I agree Bethel is part of the NAR movement… many are deceived just like thise following Rick Warren and Joel Osteen and others there all on the same page bringing way to the antichrist.

  25. Anne

I have been enamored by Bethel Music. Didn’t look for or ask for any discernment prior to listening because the lyrics were sound and the melodies very enticing. My antennae should have been piqued when I noticed the haunting sensuality about the melodies. By golly, yes, I’m old(er), I just watched Steffany Gretzinger video/song Blackout, and the visuals are new aged, sensual, Pink Floydish, MTV stuff. Yikes! All done Bethel Music.

  26. Jacob Cochrane

CH, I appreciate what you’re doing here. A website, a blog, trying to get the word out. I don’t expect perfection from you, so I’m not going to scour your website looking for typos or unclear statements or positions I might disagree with. I’ve read articles like this, and combed through a few websites where the tension it creates in me is intense. Thank you for allowing the comment storm here – I think it adds to the discussion and helps bring life to the topic.

I wonder, if someone walked into a Bethel service and called the leadership and congregation to repent… what would happen? It would probably end up with both parties earnestly praying for each other, each asking the Holy Spirit to bless the other with discernment, etc. Tension. But would the Bethel leadership repent? Even if this service-crasher called out some clear error, like the grave sucking thing – would the leadership thank him? Who knows… But here’s what is on my heart: If someone leaves a comment on one of your articles saying something like, “I find no spirit of love or humility here,” how do you respond? Do you repent? Do you thank the commenter for helping you keep on-course? Or do you respond in the same way you might accuse the Bethel people of responding in the scenario above?

This is the tension I mentioned. Two guys, each praying with an honest heart that our Father would intervene in the other’s life – remove the scales – take him off the path towards destruction – save him and anyone else who’s been influenced by him, etc. It makes my head spin. People start calling out what they perceive to be error – specific teaching emphases, specific behaviors, specific bible versions, etc. All with a spirit of love. Is any human immune to deception?? Has anyone got it all-the-way right where his walk is totally free of error?? Is anyone fully mature in Christ – has anyone yet become like his master??

Anyone who’s listened to a seasoned missionary-field servant talk about what he’s seen – you begin to realize that indeed the Holy Spirit often bypasses what we call “knowledge” – often bypasses the whole seminary mentality. God still acts in this world. This thing is really weighing on my heart, and what I’ve written so far has not satisfied me.

I guess what I’m saying here… these types of articles and topics require great humility. Boldness, yes, but not without humility. Meekness – you speak on behalf of your Father, not yourself, right? This whole thing needs Romans 14 before it, and again after it. But then, in a situation like this, how do you reconcile Romans 14 with 1 Corinthians 5? Perhaps the best advice is to “pray without ceasing” for (1) wisdom and discernment, and (2) for your neighbor.

    • C.H. Fisher

In some cases, such as Bethel, the demonic activity is so entrenched that one has to expose it for the sake of souls who are being lured into the snare. It would not be open to a negotiation with a Bethel representative no more than the Apostle Paul would have negotiated with Demetrius. Christianity is in a serious crisis of heresy and apostasy. The New Apostolic Reformation is a major force in the endtimes deception. Their evil influence spreads around the world. If you have read anything I have written about the NAR then you know what I am referring to. I am certain that the Holy Spirit has nothing in Bethel Church.

  27. Mark

what you are saying makes no sense. They are no t diabolical or a cult. If they were of satan their would be no fruit flowing from them. Yet i wake up everyday and see the movements of God that have been lit by the spirit through their music and through their teachings. Jesus said to the pharisees that a house that is divided cant stand. You cant serve two masters you either love 1 and hate the other. If they were of the Devil then what they would be doing is producing nothing but spiritual death to people. Their would be NO GOOD FRUIT WHAT SO EVER. So since their is tons of good fruit we must Concur that they are not of satan but actually a living breathing growing authentic movement of God. That is the truth of the matter.

    • C.H. Fisher

You are identifying works of darkness as “good fruit”, then claiming Bethel Church produces “good fruit.” I do not know how long you’ve been a Christian, but I have lived long enough to witness the genuine fruit of lives filled with the Holy Spirit. Bethel Church adherents and followers are not in that category.

    • DEAN

What mark doesnt understand is the devil can appear as an angel of light, how does he seem to be an angel of light if not by displaying some light? The devil will mix as much light or truth as needed, he doesnt just show up 100% demonic at first, just like when those who were falling for un-holy laughter, when people (in some groups) started to bark and act like animals and some leaders began to question it, the devils simply stoped that part of it so as not to lose the group…. people who are into demonic music such as sabbath most times never start out listening to them first off but build up to it…. thats the devils way….

  28. DEAN

Mr fisher good job….. yes they grave suck and that alone should be enough for any christian yet it is not……. just like the un-holy laughter bunch does not care if its anywhere in scripture, just the ears are scratched and now and then Jesus is mentioned and their sold – they struggle with the scriptures to their own destruction….. no matter what they are shown thats unbiblical it does not make a dent in their heads….. you try

  29. William

For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ. No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. Therefore it is not surprising if his servants also disguise themselves as servants of righteousness, whose end will be according to their deeds.
    2 Corinthians 11:13-15

  30. Vanessa Meyer

Watch Shawn Bohls. Then I know this is bad but go watch Sylvia Browne. If that doesn’t show you . It’s like psychic 101
Ask the witches , trust me they know they love bethel. Satan can’t help but boast.
I especially love the comment Satan has no power . God has given Satan power.
Take your seven days a week and focus in on just what Jesus says . I dare you stop going to church , stop listening to music. Closet yourself away with a bible and a notebook and pen. Just seven days .be quiet before God . I dare you . No phone , no internet, no tv .

    • Jason

C.H. Fisher quote “I do not know how long you’ve been a Christian, but I have lived long enough to witness the genuine fruit of lives filled with the Holy Spirit. Bethel Church adherents and followers are not in that category.”…….this guy is full of pride and boasting….full of tearing down others even if it is the lost……judging and causing conflict and confusion……Everyone on this post please be aware that C.H. Fisher aka wanker is complete a baby wolf in skin tight sheep clothing……man this guy is completely comical…..

      • C.H. Fisher

Jason, I allowed your post because it is helpful for people to read first hand what the watchmen and truth speakers are having to deal with today. I did not allow your other two posts because the added rancor and ad hominem does improve your defense. In any honest debate format, one who uses such a tactic is admitting that he or she has no defense of his or her position. It is considered a loss.

  31. Claire Carradice

Thank you for this. I have been searching for this very information – while the lyrics SOUND good, where they are coming from is evil. I wanted to know how the source will influence people in churches who use Bethel Music for worship. God bless you for your courage and truth.

  32. Claire Carradice

Jason, to you I say: you have no place to speak, because your behaviour to the writer of this article shows you to be someone who is not filled with the true Spirit of God.

Therefore, you would not have discernment of truth or deception. Therefore, your opinion is nullified.

I pray for you a true meeting with Jesus Christ, the Son of the only living God.

  33. Previous band member

I was just starting out with the band early 2000. This was before they had a $1.4 million net worth. The band wouldn’t talk to me much. They were a tight circle. I like to be recognized, at least let my name be known. I was 18 at the time. I felt like an outsider with the group. I left shortly after as an outsider.

I remember the lead singer sitting in the front door exits with his legs crossed. He had his eyes closed. I wanted to say hi, but he was praying in front of people. Just silent prayer. It seemed weird to me. Scripture says to pray in secret and not like those praying on the streets.

I left the church shortly after that. I wanted to know what the historic church taught, what the apostles taught and their disciples, and like St. Ignatius of Antioch, John’s disciple and later bishop, talked about the Catholic Church and to have the Eucharist as literal body and blood (John emphasizes this in John 6 after the other gospels have been out for a while). The more I learned of church history, I was realizing how far off Bethel was.

Now I’m in a church where the music is reverent. It does not have a worship band making a million dollars off of paying worships. And I couldn’t be happier to find this church. No more gold falling from the ceiling. No more feathers falling in the children’s room. No more bumping into spirits in the hallway (yes, a friend said this happened to her). No more “every child can be a prophet” in their children’s ministry. God left us a true church, and he never left us. We just left him to follow some other founder who came 1800+ years later.

  34. Brother Bobby 714

I just heard a song by bethal music named “crying out (yahweh)” and as soon as i heard “now were tucked in with the constellation’s … we can see for miles and generations” the Holy Ghost threw me a red flag.

Deut 4:19 And when you look up into the sky and see the sun, moon, and stars—all the forces of heaven—don’t be SEDUCED into worshiping them. The LORD your God gave them to all the peoples of the earth.

1 Tim 4:1 Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last days some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow SEDUCING SPIRITS and teachings that come from demons.

2 kings 23:5 …They had also offered sacrifices to Baal, and to the sun, the moon, the CONSTELLATION’S, and to ALL the POWERS of the HEAVENS

Eph 6:12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against EVIL rulers and authorities of the UNSEEN world, against mighty POWERS in this dark world, and against EVIL SPIRITS in the HEAVENLY places.

Dan 2:27 Daniel replied, “There are no wise men, enchanters, magicians, or ASTROLOGERS (FORTUNE TELLERS) who can reveal the king’s secret.

Acts 16:16 One day as we were going down to the place of prayer, we met a slave girl who had a spirit that enabled her to TELL THE FUTURE. She earned a lot of money for her MASTERS by TELLING FORTUNES.
17 She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, and they have come to tell you how to be saved.”
18 This went on day after day until Paul got so exasperated that he turned and said to the demon within her, “I command you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And instantly it left her.

You know what ive learned about satan and all his devils is they CANT deny who Jesus is but they can lie to others about Him.. thats all i have to say. Its all in the scriptures. May the Lord bless all who read this and oppose it with wisdom and understanding in Jesus mighty name. Amen

  35. Elvira Brooks

With all of these comments and disagreements, it is no wonder many are deceived, confused. Many Christians are at different stages in their walk, some more mature than others. Although doctrine’s differ, there is common ground that should not be ignored. No church is perfect. We can read in Revelations what God is telling the 7 churches. What church are you? We should be praying for discernment so none of us is deceived. And we should be so very careful before accusing. God does not take this lightly. Pray for wisdom and for truth to be revealed. God does not disappoint. It should not be that hard to define what an “occult” is. …… He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.

    • C.H. Fisher

Confusion is made possible because of the great end time deception and apostasy combined with the lack of knowledge in people that should know better. The Confusion is not of God, but it is manifested in weak and deceived people when truth is presented in their darkness. I have been in places that when the light was turned on, various creatures raced in confusion attempting to find a place to hide. The same is occurring with the masses today. The truth turned on makes them scramble to find an answer that allows them to keep the deception and mitigate the effect of truth.

Bethel and its music is diabolical. Anyone who fears to call it that is too fearful to accept truth.

  36. Mat Taos

Amen C.H. Fisher!!! We stand up for Jesus!!!
It’s a terrible thing to witness the great falling away.
“Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.”
    Romans 16:17-18

We enter in at the strait gate!!!
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:”
    Matthew 7:13

    Hello, Apostates

God performs miracle saves a Child’s life and you say it’s of the devil. God is doing miracles all around us and the King of Darkness ( that’s you) wants to deny God’s hand. No surprise, Satan in the Garden of Eden started this tactic. Repent and confess you are a sinner. Ask God to forgive your unbelief. Maybe you have been deceived. However, now you have been told the truth. God saved this child and answered the prayers of his Church Family. You must now make a choice: Will you continue walking in untruth (darkness) or will you ask God to remove the blinders so you can truth? This is a life or death decision. Decide wisely, your life depends on it………

For someone to believe that Bethel Church is in light and of God, he or she must have a misunderstanding about what apostasy is. God’s word informs us that there will not be a great, endgame revival in the last days, as Bethel Church believes, but there will be a great falling away. That is the great and final apostasy. Apostasy is departure from the true faith. True faith is impossible without truth, which is something Bethel Church is sadly lacking.

You are claiming that signs and wonders, not truth, is the basis for determining what is of God (Please consider your errant reference to Satan in the Garden).

The ones who become apostate will not only be individuals that are spiritual comatose in liturgical church denominations. It will be the ones that fall under the spell of Satan’s lying signs and wonders show. Individuals that agree with Bethel are under the sway of Satan. They believe signs and wonders are more important than truth. Thus, they frolic with spirits of darkness and believe they are pleasing God. It is very sad.

The following passage of truth is what is ongoing at Bethel Church—a very alluring and deadly end-time deception by lying signs and wonders mixed with blasphemy and incredible false prophesies and heresies.

The coming of the lawless one is according to the working of Satan, with all power, signs, and lying wonders, and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” — 2 Thessalonians 2:9-11

Anyone that defends them must do more than hurl accusations to be believable. He or she should begin by pointing to the scripture that condones Bethel’s “grave-sucking.” The only passage that comes close to mentioning grave-sucking is the following one.

“A people who provoke Me to anger continually to My face; who sacrifice in gardens, and burn incense on altars of brick; who sit among the graves, and spend the night in the tombs; who eat swine’s flesh, and the broth of abominable things is in their vessels; who say, ‘Keep to yourself, do not come near me, for I am holier than you!’ These are smoke in My nostrils, a fire that burns all the day.” — Isaiah 65:3-5

Reading their statement of faith was illuminating.

It reads just like a mainstream church. I guess that shows how deep the deception is. When the devil starts preaching the gospel I don’t know who to trust anymore.

Don’t participate in the fruitless works of darkness, but instead expose them. Ephesians 5:11 (HCSB)

I love their music. Didn’t Paul say people that were not of them to be left alone? Let them preach because they could bring people to God. I seen Brandon Lake on UTUBE telling us we need to get back to serving God all day on Sunday. We were not told from God to go to church Sunday morning and then forget about Him the rest of the day to watch football or whatever.

I see. So the Muslims, Buddhists, and New Agers that have been invading Christianity should be left alone? However, I did not see that Scripture by the apostle Paul. He not only rebuked charlatans that invaded the church, but he taught people to do the same.
“Those who are sinning rebuke in the presence of all, that the rest also may fear.+ – 1 Timothy 5:20

If you read the scriptures you will recognize that Christ also rebuked evil workers.

He danced like no other kid i knew to the bethel worship. I dont know why this happened to him. He loved the music like no other. He was smart witty and always had a laugh. He was a good kid.

Maybe it would have been different if we had been more spiritual. Why didnt we see it coming. What did he hear before he jumped. It was a shock to us all. What was he meditating on that said: Do it?
Maybe he didnt know he would go to hell.
Maybe he was already in hell?

Bethel music, hillsongs and others started out good. But what happened to the music? It feels like a different spirit. Are we really doing our job like were supposed to?
