False Peace: A Whitewashed Wall

(Ezekiel 13:10; Micah 3:5)

A Major Indicator of terminal apostasy is false prophets saying “peace, peace,” when there is no peace but God’s peace. Professing Christians need to be aware that such peace is a whitewashed wall (wall built with untempered mortar) that God will destroy in His fury. God is furious with people desiring false peace because it is actually idolatrous trusting in a source or sources for substance that only He can provide .

The fact is, many professing Christians seem to believe that God permits them to seek peace by earthly means. Furthermore, they believe that they will be prepared spiritually when the last days wickedness implodes. Think no one does that?

In this very critical period of Christianity, when darkness is obviously saturating our world, and apostasy is so thick that the city set on a hill is dimming by the minutes, perhaps 90% of professing Christians are too weak to bear the reality of it. They emote in the living room and shout in the church house, but cringe with denial and stop their ears to the watchman’s warnings. What is deeply troubling is that they believe that they are spiritually healthy and on the path of God’s perfect will. Of course, they use their own standard and ignore conviction to determine that status.

Their peace is indulging in something that keeps them distracted. The majority of pastors submit the strings of their emotional systems to be played by hobbies and televised sports. They believe that God knows they need some (define some) football and et cetera for stress relief.

The problem is that peace in our flesh is not synonymous with spiritual peace.

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” – John 14:27

God’s standard for peace is intimacy with Him. The world system’s peace is actually akin to apathy. It lures one to ignore and be distracted, which is like pulling a blanket over your head when you hear an intruder in the house.

The greatest stress release is prayer and intimacy with God. In this time of great deception and apostasy there is no viable substitute for genuine peace. Where in God’s word does it declare that we should seek peace from sources where His peace does not exist, and in fact has been rejected? Only God can give us perfect peace.

“For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.” – Romans 8:6

“You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.” – Isaiah 26:3

People truly need to understand what God’s word is presenting. An army that underestimates the enemy is prepared to be defeated. We cannot possibly know what we need to be prepared for when we imbibe like a beer guzzler false peace from the world system and heretics.
