False Prophet, Apostles, Teachers, and ecetera

And Satan came also Among Them
(Job 1:6)

For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:4 NKJV)

Judge Robert Bork’s book, “Slouching Towards Gomorrah—Modern Liberalism and American Decline” (1996), is an amazing detail of what would prove to be prophetically fulfilling in the 21st century. When the riots in streets and college campuses during the 60s and early 70s ceased, one of the leaders of the Marxist students who perpetrated this outrage was asked if they had failed. He replied, “It was never our intent to establish a line upon line Marxist government, but to cripple America, and bring it into receivership to morally superior third-world countries.” This they have almost completed. Our nation is nearly 17 trillion dollars in debt. We are approaching bankruptcy, which will bring us into receivership to third-world nations. Bork states that the leaders of the anti-America movement did not simply fade away. Instead, they realized that their goals could not be accomplished by rioting and taking over campus buildings. They went back to the colleges and universities and got their degrees. Then they became professors, deans, teachers, and wormed their way into leadership of various powerful organizations such as the news media, Planned Parenthood, the ACLU, the educational system, Hollywood, and of course the government. Presently, they are in near complete control of many power sectors including the Democratic Party. It is no coincidence that when it came time to launch the political career of the man that would become President, Barak Obama, the party was held at Bill Ayers home, a home-grown terrorist turned professor.

As a result, our nation is staggering from the wounds they have inflicted in almost every critical area of our society and government. They have not sought to make things better, but to destroy what they deem as harmful to the completion of their goal. Their goal is a godless, one-world system; a Christ-less, man-created, hedonistic, utopia, the culmination of Humanism, built upon the ruins of a fallen America. We ended Hitler’s disastrous experiment. We should have arrested and executed the diabolical minds that inspired him instead of inviting them into our nation to incite a generation to begin their ruinous work anew.

As I research the activities and doctrine of the Emergent Church, it occurred to me that the same thing has happened in the religious sector. One fact is inescapable, and it is that American Christianity has become infiltrated by New Age operatives. It is clear that the Emergent Church is nothing more than the New Age Movement repackaged and renamed. Further, there is no way that such a well-organized and multi-faceted attack on truth could be merely the work of a few loose cannons with bad doctrine. Long ago they began worming their way inside, taking tenure at Christian colleges and universities, pastorates, and other positions of influence. They glad-handed, cajoled, and connived their way to the top levels of leadership. There is also the strong probability that some of the infiltrators are Jesuit operatives. They are ruthless in removing all obstacles to returning Protestantism to Roman Catholic control. Over two decades ago in the denomination I was involved with, I observed the leaders systematically marginalizing and excommunicating ministers who recognized the decadence of truth and gravitation toward liberal themes. In already corrupt colleges and seminaries, they were training young hirelings to take the place of those godly men. There were so many weak and uncommitted professing Christians, content to warm pews on Sunday morning and nothing more, that the take-over was mostly a cake walk. There is no doubt in my mind that both the takeover of the government and Christianity is a multi-pronged conspiracy of Satan to bring the world under his control.

One glaring questions is how bad is it? It is very bad. If one is a uninformed pew-warmer, he or she is probably already imbibing New Age doctrine. Such a one is either now in the vortex of deception or rapidly heading in that direction. Entire denominations face a complete reversal of direction. Traditional Christians beliefs and practices will either be completely dismissed or amalgamated with New Age doctrine to the extent they are unrecognizable and nonviable. The practice of Contemplative Prayer/Centering has already taken firm hold in most liturgical denominations and threatens to invade two of the largest evangelical denominations in America. The majority of professing Christians have only a casual relationship with God and that vicariously through a pastor. They actually do not want enough truth to challenge their autonomy. You cannot speak anything negative to them. They have buried their heads in fun, pleasure, food, entertainment, and the affairs of this life. They can receive and retain voluminous data and statistics about everything from NASCAR to PGA, but they have no taste for truth. Their fleshly nature is so powerful that when you begin informing them of the encroaching evil, their cognition will begin to close down and their eye lids will become heavy. Dull hearts, deaf ears, and blind eyes, they are perfect targets for deception.

The other big question is what are people who know the truth going to do about it? Sadly, most credentialed ministers are going to remain silent and do little or nothing. The reason is because they are afraid of being excommunicated, of losing their income and opportunity to minister. They realize that when the paradigm shift is complete, they will have to choose to accept a lie, or to walk away. But they are attempting to hang on a bit longer, hoping against all doubt that it will get better. They simply cannot find the courage now to stand up for the truth. The sad irony is that if these ministers were asked to join a cult, they would refuse. But if they are faced with the decision to leave one, most of them would again refuse.

On that day when all souls stand before the Righteous Judge, we will give an account of how we performed in this life. How did we respond when pressured to deny Christ to some degree or be persecuted, rejected, and suffer loss? We will not be asked to enumerate the cost of obedience to God, how much we suffered or lost. The only question will be if we did the right thing.

We have come to the end of the age and the choices await us whether to accept good and reject evil, or to do nothing. I am deeply grateful to God that I already made that choice and entered a period of suffering. I suffered denominational tribunals, rejection, and excommunication from churches. Ostracized from Christian fellowship, I ended up financially devastated, a broken man ostracized from institutional Christianity. However, I am filled with gratitude that I lost my home and vehicles, that I have no social prominence, that I am an insignificant peon with a blank resume pastoring a small house church. I have no position to fall from. It is a joy to me that I work at a physically demanding job that taxes my aging body to the breaking point because no religious heretic controls my income. I am grateful because I have already experienced a small taste of what it costs to stand for truth unflinching and without compromise. Over the past ten years my godly wife and I have to depend on God alone for our survival. I have learned things through this trial of brokenness that I would not trade for any amount of money or honor. I have learned that when one stands up for God, He will stand up for him or her.

This is no game. It is a battle for truth. As such, it is a battle for the souls of humanity. It is not about what we stand to lose materially, but what we stand to gain for eternity.

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (Romans 8:18 – NKJV)

Replacing the Lion of Judah with a Gargoyle

“The church is so subnormal that if it ever got back to the New Testament normal it would seem to people to be abnormal.” (Vance Havner)

Imagine a time in America when true, biblical, Christianity will be considered heretical by the majority of professing Christians, not to mention secular society. Further imagine that the new normal for Christianity will be ecumenical paganism sprinkled with a smattering of Christian rhetoric and doctrine. That time is rapidly approaching. The groundwork for this diabolical era has been laid, and the framework set in place. The unbelievable truth is that scores of professing Christian leaders are converting to pagan Christianity (an oxymoron if there ever was one). The list of converts reads like a “Who’s Who in Christianity”.

This Pagan Christianity combines New Age beliefs and practices with Christianity to form a pagan “gospel” called Contemplative Spirituality. Why would even a casual Christian want to do such a thing? One reason given is to promote spirituality in Protestantism that supposedly went missing when the movement severed from the Roman Catholic Church. What spirituality, we might ask? Several popular Roman Catholics, namely Thomas Merton, Thomas Keating, and Henri Nouwen, decided that their religion was not spiritual enough. These individuals by their own admission were unspiritual and without intimacy with God. They turned to Buddhists, Hindus, and Sufi Muslims for assistance with becoming spiritual. From those pagan religions they appropriated and incorporated Contemplative Spirituality into Christianity. Now a whole host of their Protestant contemporaries such as Rick Warren, Richard Foster, Dallas Willard (now deceased), Brian McClaren, Rob Bell, including lesser knowns such as Ruth Haley Barton, have taken up the cause. They insist that the only way to restore spiritual life to Christianity is to employ paganism to teach us how to pray and get in touch with the inner Christ.

They insist that Contemplative Spirituality is the only way to appropriating all the benefits of God. In doing so, they are in fact declaring that not only are pagans more spiritual than Christians, but that pagans are more intimate with and knowledgeable about the one true God. In other words, they consider true Christianity to be a weak and unspiritual failure because it has ignored paganism. These concepts are not being held secret, but are openly proclaimed. They have declared that this other path to God was the true path all along. In spite of not having even one verse of scripture that validates their claim, they are implying that the Holy Spirit is now insufficient to meet the Christian’s needs. It is like saying that a massive, eternal, electrical power plant is insufficient to supply ones home with electricity, but a tiny watch battery will do the trick.

Contemplative Spirituality includes the practice of Contemplative Prayer. During Contemplative Prayer one sits with hands in the Yoga “salutation to the sun” position, counting his or her breaths, and chanting a 1 to 3 word mantra until the mind is vacated of all thoughts. There is usually a spiritual director (guru) present to assist the individual in achieving the vacuous state. Often people will receive a spirit guide (a demon spirit) at this point in the process of Contemplative Prayer. Spiritual directors and practitioners claim that one will never be spiritual, intimate with God or fellow humanity, and achieve oneness with other religions until he or she practices Contemplative Prayer. They claim that the purpose is to get in touch with the inner Christ that supposedly dwells in all people and even in animals and inanimate things. The inner Christ is part of the overarching Cosmic Christ, which they claim Jesus took part of. Thus, they deny that He was and is the Christ. They are in effect replacing the Lion of Judah with a Gargoyle.

Although millions of professing Christians have fallen head over heels in love with Contemplative Prayer, and entire denominations are being taken over by it, I am not so ecstatic. The reason is because God delivered me from darkness that included alcoholism, drug addiction, and paganism. He brought me into intimacy with Him by pouring into me the gift of the Holy Spirit. I grew in faith and knowledge, navigated numerous trials and crises, and realized all my spiritual growth and productivity, because of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. I never needed anything or anyone more than Him. When I became dry and unspiritual, I discovered that true prayer and yielding to the Holy Spirit was the answer. He always brought me back to rich fulfillment in Christ Jesus.

The Holy Spirit is the source of all essential and healthy spirituality. But He is not the source of all spirituality. Satan is in fact the source of all unhealthy spirituality. It is therefore imperative that one makes certain that he or she does not absorb spirituality from satanic sources. Unhealthy spirituality is the activity of demon spirits. Demons work through means and methods contrary to God’s word and nature. One of those means is enchantment. Enchantment is a lure that Satan uses to draw people into devilish means and methods. It is a magic spell, a form of bewitchment. In fact, enchantment comes from the Latin word incantare, which literally means to “chant (a magic spell) upon”.

Contemplative Prayer, the major source of pagan spirituality, involves chanting a mantra until one enters an altered state of consciousness. At that point the individual becomes enchanted and thus susceptible to demon possession. This indeed gives such a person a great measure of unhealthy spirituality and intimacy with the god of this world, Satan. A true Christian is possessed by the Holy Spirit. The only way a true Christian can become demon possessed is for the Holy Spirit to relinquish His possession. God’s word declares that a Christian’s body is the temple of the Holy Spirit. It goes on to declare that the Holy Spirit will not dwell in an unclean temple (body). Obviously, a lack of spirituality does not exist in a person possessed by and yielded to the Holy Spirit. It just as obvious that individuals not possessed by the Holy Spirit are unqualified to lead the way to true spirituality. It is especially true of those individuals that have been drawn into unhealthy spirituality.

What has occurred in pagan Christianity is that people (by their own admission) who were unspiritual had rejected the Holy Spirit. In doing so they rejected the source of all healthy spirituality. Instead of repenting and coming back to God, they sought unhealthy spirituality from the broken cisterns of paganism. Now their contemporaries insist that all true Christians must abandon the matchless power and wisdom of God’s Holy Spirit and drink with them the poison water of paganism.

My first question is; “Why would any true Christian want to do that?” There is no palpable benefit in abandoning the source of spiritual life to wander about the graveyard of paganism. My second question is; “Why would anyone believe that paganism, the residence of demons and darkness, condemned by God as a lie, could ever produce anything more that the squalor of spiritual poverty and death?” However, in spite of those glaring realities, and the fact that the greatest men and women of God throughout Christian history never needed paganism, these influential promoters of Contemplative Spirituality are declaring it to be the ancient path to fullness of God. They have rejected the confines of truth, ignored the scriptural warnings, and are ingesting a deadly mixture. Pagan Christianity is a fatal dose of deception. When the soul begins to die from its effects, there is no turning back in these last days. It is essentially spiritual suicide.

The answer to spiritual deficiency is to go back to the unfailing supply. God, the Holy Spirit, cannot fail and will never be insufficient to meet our needs. We may be unwilling to meet the requirements for His indwelling, refuse to allow Him to purge us of carnal, selfish, motives and ambitions, and all else that opposes the Divine Nature. But He will never be inadequate to meet the spiritual needs of all who come to God with an open and sincere heart of submission to His will. Pagan Christianity leads to submission to Satan. It is a paradigm historically associated with the backslidden or apostate condition.

Backslidden Israel left the springs of living water for the broken cisterns of paganism. Fallen humanity has repeatedly sought a different way to God (or rather, a god) that does not follow the path of righteousness. When apostasy occurs, the alternate path is heralded as the true path, while God’s way is decried as a false or insufficient path. In spite of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, the advocates of Contemplative Spirituality have succumbed to the great and final deception. They are now fully in the grip of the great and final apostasy. As such, they now believe that up is down, right is wrong, left is right, good is bad, evil is righteousness, and vice versa. The path out to freedom appears to them as a path to bondage and doom. They cannot be helped when they believe that the cure is the disease. The poison that they have ingested tastes good at the present, but eventually the consequences of deception will arrive. The reality is that the choice to engage in Contemplative Prayer is a bad and fatal choice to enter a path to utter destruction. Guard your hearts and minds! No one else is going to do it for you.

The Great Apostasy

Replacement Christianity (part one)

The vast majority of professing Christians don’t recognize what is actually occurring in Christianity. They go to church meetings on Sunday mornings and believe that everything is fine. It seems incredible to them a viable threat exists that may actually destroy true Christianity. The truth is that if the present great apostasy continues, one day soon they will be forced to decide between two Christs, one true and the other diabolical. Even more ominous is that they could be gradually led to accept new doctrines and practices that deceive them into accepting a false Christ. Very few of them are prepared for that time of testing. If they do not even know that a great apostasy is presently rampaging through Christianity, how can they be prepared for the moment when it comes crashing into their comfort zones?

The following quote from a professing Christian represents the nature of this apostasy quite well.
“The problem with exclusivism, is that it presents us with a god from whom we need to be delivered rather than the living God who is the hope of the world. The exclusivist god is narrow, rigid, and blind. This god pays no attention to the sanctity and personal holiness of people outside the Christian fold. This god takes no loving and parental pride in the lives of great spiritual teachers who spoke of other paths to truth, figures like Moses, Siddartha [Buddah], Mohammed, and Gandhi…Such a god is not worthy of honor, glory, worship, or praise. This god offers no hope for a world deeply divided along religious lines, a world crying out for peace and reconciliation.” – Anglican Bishop Michael Ingham from his book, “Mansions of the Spirit”
While most professing Christians would be appalled by Ingham’s statement, they may be tolerating of deceptive practices and doctrines that lead to the same apostasy. The truth is that evil is not varying sizes of pools, but evil is all one stream. One cannot wet his or her tongue with a seemingly smaller evil without contracting the virus of the whole stream.

Nearly all of the major denominations are infiltrated with New Age heresies and some are nearly completely deceived. It is the result of the acceptance by small degrees of evil that was deemed as truth. Consider that the Assemblies of God has invited a New Age heretic, Ruth Haley Barton, to speak at their General Council this year in Orlando, Florida. Barton is a New Age spiritual director (guru) who promotes pagan practices that can lead to demon possession. The General Superintendent of the AoG defends and downplays the decision to invite Barton by saying that her teaching is about nothing more than being quite before the Lord. His defense is either the result of extreme naivety or complete deception. In inviting Barton, he is allowing one of the single most destructive New Age practices, Contemplative Prayer, to be introduced to an entire denomination of leaders at once. The ramifications are immense.

Many professing Christians are incapable of detecting this rapidly spreading heresy.
They do not often hear or understand the terms, Emergent or Emerging Church, modernity, post modernism, New Age, Contemplative Spirituality, and etcetera. As a result, they become mired in the terms and all the various rabbit trails that connect the Emergent/New Age Church with paganism and Roman Catholicism. Therefore, the conversation over a great and potentially most destructive heresy invading Christianity is limited to a relative few individuals. The discussion needs to occur among Christians at the grass roots level, in the work place, the marketplace, in homes, on social networking, and in every other common venue. To facilitate such a discussion, I am defining the Emergent /New Age Church as Replacement Christianity.

Here is a general synopsis of what has transpired so far. For a more complete understanding I recommend “A Time of Departing” by Ray Yungen. Also, a wealth of information is available at Lighthouse Trails Research. First, the New Age Movement came into view somewhere during the mid to last half of the 20th century. This movement involves a collection of religious beliefs and practices that includes nearly every belief system except Christianity. For more about the New Age Movement, visit Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry.

The NAM was a topic of discussion among concerned Christian leaders in the 80s. At that point it was mostly a threat that existed outside of Christianity. By the 90s, interest in the NAM faded to a great extent. I do not know exactly why it appeared to drop off the radar, but it could be because the focus shifted to heresies developing within Christianity. However, the NAM did not go away. Its adherents worked stealthily to infiltrate Christianity and worm their way into positions of influence. Gradually, they begin challenging historic Christian beliefs and practices and introducing Christianized, and some not so Christianized, New Age versions. Presently, they have successfully formulated a new Christianity with leaders that have the intent of perverting or replacing historical Christianity by any means necessary. Their tactic is to blend and destroy.

Most of their activity went practically undetected. There are reasons for this neglect that I will reveal later on in this article. Suffice it for me to say that they clothed everything with enough Christian rhetoric to avoid detection. However, some discerning Christians began to notice that the New Age had begun infiltrating Christianity about the time the Seeker Friendly Movement reached its peak. The SFM was an aberrant ecclesiastical experiment formulated and conducted by Bill Hybels, Willow Creek Community Church founder, and his associate(s). From its founding in 1975, Hybels turned the Willow Creek Community Church into the largest church in America using the Seeker Friendly method. Hybels and his staff decided that a church could be more relevant to modern society if it avoided what he considered some of the more offensive parts of Christianity. Hybels mixed secular elements into the church meeting making the church more entertaining and attractive to what he termed the “unchurched”. In my opinion, the SFM became an entry point for the New Age heretics to gain access to evangelical fundamental Christianity.

As the SFM spread across America, a new Christianity appeared to evolve out of it that transcended the heresy of the SFM. Its leaders labeled the new Christianity the Emerging Church. The driving force behind the EC movement is “disillusionment with the organized and institutional church.” This disillusionment led some pastors to begin informal church meetings in buildings designed to more resemble coffee houses than traditional church settings. But for many, the changes did not stop with aesthetics. References to sin and sinner, judgment and hell, and many other traditional biblical truths were either omitted or entirely discarded. It left many Emerging churches without a complete belief system. It was a prime opportunity for New Age adherents to insert their beliefs. Once enough sacred beliefs were trampled, it became easier to reject the remainder of biblical Christianity that clashed with the New Age belief system. Along the way of purging themselves of traditional biblical truth, Emerging devotees accepted homosexuality as a God-sanctioned lifestyle. Churches that have fully thrown off their sheep’s clothing are now called Emergent.

In an attempt to cover their tracks, some of the leaders of the new Christianity are avoiding the terms Emerging and Emergent. Other ones attempt to distinguish themselves from the more blatantly heretical members of the Movement by only accepting the term Emerging. I place the label Replacement Christianity on them because labels are important. Imagine that you are nearly dehydrated from thirst. There are two bottles setting on a table. One has pure water, the other on is laced with cyanide. Would it matter if they are not labeled? Replacement Christianity is a portion of truth seasoned with many destruction heresies. It offers a plethora of answers to the present doldrums in Christianity, but most of those answers lead to apostasy. They claim that what they believe is better than historical Christianity. However while they mask their true colors under the term Church, at the same time they denigrate nearly everything about Christianity in their books and teaching. Further, they claim that they are still in the process of defining themselves and their beliefs. In other words, they are engaged in a blatant attempt to deceive. Once their deception is fully extended, they intend to obliterate true Christianity.

One of the key elements of this deception is Contemplative Spirituality. Its main component is Contemplative Prayer. During Contemplative Prayer, individuals sit, some in yoga position, focusing on their breathing, speaking a one to three-word mantra, while vacating their minds of all thoughts. At that point, they are susceptible to receiving a spirit guide (demon). Of course, they do not believe they are inviting demons, but the evidence speaks otherwise. The fruit of CP is definitely not compatible with the fruit of the Holy Spirit. Instead, individuals that engage in CP are becoming united with false religions, engaging in pagan practices, and are submitting to individuals that deny God’s word including the message of the Atonement.

To understand fully what is occurring, we should begin with the words of Christ in Matthew 24:5.

And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. (Matt. 24:4-5 NKJV)

At one point I had difficulty understanding how Matthew 24:5 could be fulfilled. How could many christs come in the name of Christ? First, I pondered that maybe it meant a series of false christs appearing over a period of time. But that did not make sense because Christ is teaching about the last days. Further, Christians believe in one Christ, not many, so it is hard to grasp how many Christians could be deceived by the arrival of more than one false Christ. But that was before contemplative spirituality and its carrier Replacement Christianity came along with the concept of a cosmic Christ.

Ray Yungen presents some history of the Cosmic Christ in his book, “A Time of Departing”. He describes how the New Age Movement intended to conquer Christianity. He quotes Alice Bailey, an occultist and New Age leader, who apparently realized that Christianity would eventually become vulnerable. She declared that a time would come when New Age philosophy would be illuminated through Christianity. The scheme is clearly defined by Yungen when he writes:
“In other words, instead of opposing Christianity, the occult [New Age] would capture and blend itself with Christianity and then use it as its primary vehicle for spreading and instilling New Age consciousness!”

This process, which Bailey calls “rejuvenating the church”, has been underway for some time now in the form of Replacement Christianity. There is something very sinister in what they believe. Replacement Christianity leaders postulate that through contemplative spirituality individuals discover the Christ consciousness that dwells deep in them. This discovery awakens them to the cosmic Christ, which is the over arching universal spirit and cosmic force. The idea of a cosmic Christ is panentheism, which is the idea that God, and Christ, is in everyone and everything. Thus, individuals who discover the Christ consciousness believe that they actually become a Christ. It seems fantastical that Matthew 24:5 could be fulfilled in our lifetime, but but the facts indicate that it is being fulfilled.

In New Age writer Matthew Fox’s book, “The Coming of the Cosmic Christ”, he writes:
“Divinity is found in all creatures…. The Cosmic Christ is the “I am” in every creature.”

“Without mysticism there will be no “deep ecumenism,” no unleashing of the power of wisdom from all the world’s religious traditions. Without this [mysticism] I am convinced there will never be global peace or justice since the human race needs spiritual depths and disciplines, celebrations and rituals to awaken its better selves.”

“We need to become aware of the Cosmic Christ, which means recognizing that every being has within it the light of Christ.” (Matthew Fox, The Coming of the Cosmic Christ (New York, NY: Harper Collins Publishers, 1980)

In light of this information, it is now easy to grasp how many false christs could arrive in the name of Christ and deceive many. A growing number of Replacement Christians now believe in the “Cosmic Christ” that is ubiquitous in every creature. As the “Christ consciousness” is awakened within them, and they believe that they each become a Christ, they are false christs coming in the name of Christ. Thus, they fulfill the prophecy of the Son of God in Matthew 24:4-5.
Another glaring factor is apparent in this deceptive fiasco and that is the great shortage of godly leaders speaking out against this encroaching evil. Christian leadership appears to be in the sleep of complacency and apathy. They fulfill another passage of scriptures.
His watchmen are blind,
They are all ignorant;
They are all dumb dogs,
They cannot bark;
Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.
Yes, they are greedy dogs
Which never have enough.
And they are shepherds
Who cannot understand;
They all look to their own way,
Every one for his own gain,
From his own territory. (Isaiah 56:10-12 NKJV)

The facts are clear. Christianity has become very weak. Consequently, it has been infiltrated by New Age individuals that have long been merging with Christianity. Now that they have reached levels of power and influence, they are replacing the truth with lies. Many professing Christians believe the lies because they have rejected love for the truth. The result is the rapidly growing spiritual cancer of Replacement Christianity. As a result of the lack of godly individuals speaking out against Replacement Christianity heresy, many more professing Christians are becoming deeply entrapped in Replacement Christianity.
It is no secret that they intend to destroy Christianity and replace it with a satanically altered version. Consider the words of one of the leaders of Replacement Christianity.
“My goal is to destroy Christianity as a world religion and be a recatalyst for the movement of Jesus Christ.” (Erwin McManus, author of a new book called “The Barbarian Way,”)

“Some people are upset with me because it sounds like I’m anti-Christian. I think they might be right.” (Erwin McManus)
(There are many other quotes that I will present in future articles.)

I believe that the fulfillment of Matthew 24:5 indicates that we may be in the last day. If so, then we have to also consider Matthew 24:24.
For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. (Matt. 24:24)
A number of people have asked me how they can avoid this intense deception. The quick answer is to reject everything new. Obviously, if a number of false christs arrive in the name of Christ, they cannot make their claim appear to be valid with the true Gospel. They must have a new and different gospel. It stands to reason that the final and great deception will be the result of believing something new. What God gave the world eons ago is the truth. With that truth billions of souls have come into His kingdom. If Replacement Christianity is right, then we must believe that somehow God got it wrong, and that every significant Christian since the Resurrection of Christ got it wrong. We would also have to believe that after 2000 years God has now sent people to dismantle His mistake and bring only this generation to the knowledge of truth. The truth is that what Replacement Christianity offers is a new and false Christ, a new and false Gospel, but a very old and greasy sloped path to hell.
