What is the Great Falling Away?

“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of [b]sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.”
2 Thessalonians 2:1-4

The great falling away (Greek: apostasia) is the great and final apostasy. One who falls away (apostatizes) has defected from faith in God. He or she is no longer is his or her spiritual position. Such a individual is no longer a child of God. His or her name has been blotted out of the Book of Life. They have returned to wallowing in the mire.

There is no indication in God’s word that they will recover from the great and final apostasy. For what can God do more than He has already done? Never has a generation of people had more given to them by God than these last days generations. They have regarded God’s gifts, including the Holy Spirit, as toys, and they played the harlot with demon spirits. They only sought self aggrandizement, not God’s will.

Furthermore, they despise the watchmen and truth speakers who warn them. No doubt they will, as their forefathers did, kill them and the prophets.

There is only one gift left that God can give them that they will accept without it being forced upon them. In fact they eagerly await that gift and have been preparing themselves for it with books, videos, conferences, in every church meeting, with prophecies, revelations, trips to “heaven”, face to face meetings with “Jesus”, music, Bible translations, and even weeping statues.

They need not do anything more because God has already given some of them that last gift. it is coming by special delivery to everyone that falls away. They need not to approve of more perverse people in ministry and leadership positions. They need not write or support any more books, such as “The Shack”, “Jesus Calling”, “The Circle Maker”, “Purpose Driven Church“, et cetera. There is no need to complete Chrislam or ecumenism with the Roman Catholic Church, but they will. They need not have more conferences such as “IF:Gathering”, “Bethel Conference”, “Catalyst Conference”, “Encounter: Jesus Culture”, “IHOP Conference”, et cetera.”

If the reader of this article has ceased following Christ to follow an individual, you are asking for that gift as well. You have decided that the leading of the Holy Spirit was too difficult of a relationship to develop. You agreed with the purveyors of heresy that they are God’s special envoys because they were more exciting and outlandish. You agree that a revelation from those arrogant ones that defend themselves with boasts and threats is more authoritative than God’s word. Finally, you agreed that those individuals should be made extremely wealthy for their delivery services.

To all of the ones mentioned in this article your gift has been delivered or is on its way. Are you excited? It’s directly from God just as you like it. It was designed especially for you. You’ve been presenting yourself as special, now it is time to prove that you are.

Your gift, the only gift left that God can give you, what you have been waiting, working, and wishing for. It is the end of the large rainbow created by the New Apostolic Reformation, Kenneth Copeland and the Prosperity Movement, The Charismatic Movement, and the huge number of other devouring locusts swarming on the souls of deceived professing Christians. Here it is!

Standing in the Gap (Ezekiel 22:30)

One if not the major cause of Christianity’s demise is the lack of spiritual backbone in either the pulpit or the pew. Now after decades of petitions, church splits, and excommunicated pastors, most churches have settled down with either a hireling or a heretic. Either one cannot speak or act with anointing or conviction.

When a leader stands up for truth, most professing Christians will not support him or her. The church that abandoned this pastor has taken a giant leap into apostasy. God’s word is clear–we either oppose and expose wickedness or our silence is as consent. There is no neutral ground in the battle for truth. I am increasingly witnessing and hearing about churches that have given themselves over to heresy or conformity to the world system. It is truly sad given the fact that God gave us enough to be victorious.

It is the reason why I seldom preach in churches. I could preach the say way I did when I began preaching, when people wept with repentance in the altar and souls were saved, and the reaction would be entirely different today. They would be stunned, embarrassed, angry, and frozen to the pews in rebellion. They would insist that I am stuck in the past and that they need someone relevant to feed them.

If a church does not even have enough spiritual energy and integrity left to stand with the pastor who makes a bold and truthful statement, it does not have to worry about being spewed. It was spewed out of God’s mouth long ago.

The Moving of the Spirit

What do people mean when they refer to “the moving of the Spirit?” The so-called “moving” often occurs during singing, altar activity, or demonstrative preaching. It manifests as powerfully stimulated emotions. People weep, dance, shout, wave their hands excitedly, run, faint, and in Pentecostal or Charismatic meetings glossolalia may occur. It is not common anymore to say the “Spirit moved” when people become convicted and pray for a long period in an altar

In Seeker-sensitive and similar church meetings the Spirit of God (Holy Spirit) only “moves” when the “worship band” is playing. As people become excited during fast music the Holy Spirit is thought to be moving. It is very similar to what one might witness at a secular music concert or some other emotionally provocative event. The Holy Spirit is also deemed to be moving during slow music as people sway trancelike with raised hands. In most cases, the Holy Spirit is believed to have arrived and departed with the ebb and surge of people’s emotions.

Thus, the Holy Spirit appears to manifest at the beck and call and of people’s emotional systems. Savvy pastors, evangelists, and “worship leaders” skilled in manipulating people’s emotions are thought to have a special anointing that brings on a “move of the Spirit.” Certain “worship bands” are regarded likewise. As such they are in high demand. Continue reading
