Cedric Fisher: "earnestly contending for the faith."

New Christianity & Customized Salvation

The New Christianity that is forming is nothing more than malignant and terminal apostasy. Consequently, aggression toward the truth speakers and watchmen that expose the wickedness is going to increase. There is already much intimidation and  coercion from compromised professing Christians because the Remnant refuses to compromise. The apostate ones cannot tolerate any truth that exposes their delusional declension. The aggression is most obvious when false salvation is confronted and exposed.

In fact, the cauldron of apostasy and heresies is boiling down to a new Christianity that allows each individual to fashion his or her own customized god and salvation process. They give God token acknowledgement from their tongues and scraps from their hearts. He is not Almighty to them, just mighty. And His might is co-opted to fit them with a blended image of old and new self. Heaven forbid that they should be required to actually humble themselves and repent of their sins. Instead, they want to wear their robes of fame into the Holiest of All and claim equality with the ones who died with Christ.

Maybe that is why so many compromised and apostate Professing Christians are gushing  over and swarming around a famous rapper based merely on a claim of salvation—but no corresponding fruit.

“Give him a break! After all he is a rapper,” they say.

So? There are many testimonies of people who were “sinking deep in sin far from the peaceful shore.” But they came out of the briny sea and left all behind them. The man at the Gadarenes was such a one. Did Christ give him a customized salvation commiserate with his demon possession? Or did Christ set him completely free?

Other ones rose up from the deep darkness to come into God’s light. Their lives revealed an astonishing and complete turnaround. I can testify that the depth of darkness I was in had brought me to the point of self destruction. When God delivered me, just as other ones in like bondage, there was no doubt about what He wanted me to do. I made a full surrender, turned my back on the past, fully submitted to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

One of the most powerful passages in God’s word leaves no doubt as to the measure of commitment God requires. And it is a requirement—not a suggestion. It does not allow for remaining in our filthy garments as we attempt to retrofit God’s redemption to a modified version of our old self.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:1-2)

Please consider that that passage is a synopsis of the Apostle Paul’s extensive explanation of true salvation (read chapters 6-7-8 without the chapter markers).

Therefore, if someone ensconced in the castles of darkness and positioned on Satan’s pedestals wishes to be a true Christian, he or she should know that the robe of righteousness is a one-size-fits-all. There is no Rock musician salvation, Hollywood actor salvation, Sports hero salvation, former satanist salvation, or Rapper salvation. We must all come to the same place of humbleness and brokenness, awareness of our filthy, sinful condition. We must come to the reality of the cross and the cost, and make the decision to pay the price, die to self and be raised in newness of life. If we truly want it more than anything else in the world, we will not stroll or weave our way to God. We will run straight to Him—leaving our rags and our past behind until we stand naked and trembling in His presence.

I have wondered why He wanted someone as raunchy as I—why He would reach out to such filth that did not deserve one drop of sweat mingled blood from the brow of His Son. But He set me free. The chains fell off and I rose up from my knees feeling as if I could fly. Everything I had and was appeared as garbage to me.

True deliverance is much more than a statement of belief—it is a process of complete change. One goes from being a child of darkness to a child of the light. There is no compromise. One may gradually come to that point, but no one has been translated from darkness to light until he or she has made a full-depth, total, surrender to God. The evidence is that old things will pass away and all things will become new. He or she will become a new creation in Christ.

If professing Christians deny that process, they are setting themselves against God and embracing “shadows of turning” salvation. One who merely moves from darkness to shadows is not walking in the light.

“This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.” (1 John 1:5-7)

    I only can say: AMEN!
    Great, short, article.

    Amen!

And that is exactly as the salvation process is, just like you said Cedric!

What is being formed today, and this just came to me a day ago; is what I would call “Antichrist Christianity.” They think they can walk with God while holding hands with the devil. Every sin and heresy is given a free pass with the wave of a hand. They form ‘god’ into their own image, it’s an idol of their own customizing, and they call it ‘god.’ Their recipe for salvation is the same way too. As for these types, it’s all scoffed away with one excuse or another. “Oh, but….” “Well, he’s new….” “But he was in this or that for so long….” “He just doesn’t know any better… yet.” The list goes on. Not everything changes right away, it is a process too, other things change instantly. But the question is what direction are they moving in, and how big are their errors?

Another example I can think of is ‘our fearless leader.’ There is a soiled past in many ways. Then, as with so many politicians and celebrities, there is a ‘spin on a dime’ conversion that is publicized, or hints of it. Obvious errors to us are whisked away with “Oh, but he’s just a baby Christian…” and so on. And what do we see now? A leader who brandishes the rainbow flag, wants to decriminalize sodomy globally, I just heard today that a Christian is in prison here over this, hosts islamic holiday events at the WH among other such holidays, and the list goes on. But the free passes fly out as if from a tennis ball machine on steroids. What is the fruit of this? Christians will give such a one a free pass, and then turn around and give themselves another free pass. Because, after all, if this or that famous person can do it, then why can’t they?

I recall years ago when a certain Iranian Christian man was in prison in Iran who was supposedly setting up house churches and missionary work over there. We heard no end of his predicament, but of none of the others. I won’t mention his name, you probably know. I’m not going to judge whether I think he’s legit or not either, as I truly don’t know. But someone made the comment that; “For someone in the strictest prison in Iran, he sure does give a lot of press releases!” Later, after his release there was news about how his family, now reunited, had to ‘heal’ and that they were having sexual problems due to his porn addiction. My jaw about dropped to the ground! Aside from all the other questions one would have, such as…how could he have access over in that prison… and suffering for Christ is a very purifying experience, how could one even think about sex let alone porn in such a place… how can you survive without a close relationship with the Lord in such a situation? Etc. But my main question was: What impact will this news have on the church? I can see the devil snickering behind the curtain… the plan would go as follows… all the weak Christians will be thinking “Well, if HE can do it, being such a super hero Christian, then why can’t I get a free pass for porn addiction too?” And off the cliff they go…. another one bites the dust! And the devil makes another tally mark on his scoreboard. I see this cycle over and over as it is publicized and one does have to wonder what is at work there behind the scenes?

We must keep ourselves pure and as unpolluted by sin, the world, the wiles of the devil, and heresy as possible, or else! Be very wary of any source that hints otherwise.

    Never lower your guard. Ever.

    God bless you!
Good to hear from you Cedric!

Reading your post along with the following… I see some relatable points.

Is Jesus Christ our “plan A”… or, do we have a “plan B” of the world… signs and wonders preachers… contemplative prayer preachers… unity with all faiths preachers to take over the world for a jesus, etc.?

Thanks for reminding and encouraging that… we have to “burn the bridge” to plan B for plan A to work for us.
