Everyone is talking and writing about the SCOTUS ruling.\u00a0 However, the greater danger few people are talking and writing about, and that has been obscured by the SCOTUS ruling, is the Oregon persecution\u00a0against the bakers, Aaron and Melissa Klein. \u00a0The Kleins were not charged and prosecuted in a traditional court of law.\u00a0 There was no due process, no jury of their peers, and their\u00a0Constitutional rights were violated, including the First Amendment regarding freedom of religion. \u00a0It amounts to Christian persecution not unlike what is occurring in some foreign nations.<\/p>\n
The Labor Commissioner, Brad Avakian, convened a court, acted as judge, jury, and executioner.\u00a0 Additionally, it is reported that Avakian has a gay son and is a LGBT supporter.\u00a0 He should have recused himself on those\u00a0points.\u00a0 It is doubtful that\u00a0he would have won a case against the Kleins in a genuine court of law.<\/p>\n
Every citizen has the right to due process of law. \u00a0Avakian’s court ignored that right. The\u00a0Fifth Amendment\u00a0says that no one shall be “deprived of life, liberty or property without due process of law.”\u00a0 The same words are used in the Fourteenth Amendment to describe the obligation of all the states.\u00a0 That means that Avakian should have taken his case to a proper court where the proper procedures, including the rules of the justice and evidence, were followed.\u00a0 Instead, he chose to violate the Kleins’ Constitutional rights, and is attempting to force them to pay the settlement immediately, even though he most certainly knows that his actions will be overturned by the first genuine court that it is presented in.\u00a0 The Kleins will never get their money back.<\/p>\n
Nevertheless, Avakian awarded $135,000 to the gay couple allegedly damaged by the Klein\u2019s refusal to make them a gay oriented wedding cake.\u00a0 The list of symptoms of the gay couple\u2019s damage include, \u201cacute loss of confidence,\u201d \u201cdoubt,\u201d \u201cexcessive sleep,\u201d \u201cfelt mentally raped, dirty and shameful,\u201d \u201chigh blood pressure,\u201d \u201cimpaired digestion,\u201d \u201closs of appetite,\u201d \u201cmigraine headaches,\u201d \u201cpale and sick at home after work,\u201d \u201cresumption of smoking habit,\u201d \u201cshock,\u201d \u201cstunned,\u201d \u201csurprise,\u201d \u201cuncertainty,\u201d \u201cweight gain\u201d and \u201cworry.\u201d\u00a0 There were no expert witnesses allowed to sustain or refute those damages.<\/p>\n
Avakian\u2019s stated goal is to \u201crehabilitate Christians\u201d to accept homosexuality and homosexual marriage.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe goal is never to shut down a business. The goal is to rehabilitate,\u201d Avakian said. \u201cFor those who do violate the law, we want them to learn from that experience and have a good, successful business in Oregon.\u201d<\/p>\n
That sounds like the double-speak that Communists use to mask their persecution of citizens who refuse to comply with their agenda. \u00a0Hopefully he will learn when the court overturns his injustice.<\/p>\n
Not satisfied with his imperialistic justice, Avakian issued a gag order after the judgment, which is highly irregular and a violation of the First Amendment.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe Commissioner of the Bureau of Labor and Industries hereby orders [Aaron and Melissa Klein] to cease and desist from publishing, circulating, issuing or displaying, or causing to be published \u2026 any communication to the effect that any of the accommodations \u2026 will be refused, withheld from or denied to, or that any discrimination be made against, any person on account of their sexual orientation,\u201d (Brad Avakian).<\/p>\n
There is little outrage from the Christian community, and few are writing about and discussing it.\u00a0 If this is allowed to stand, it will have far greater impact on Christians than the SCOTUS ruling.\u00a0 If we do not stand now, the time is rapidly approaching when it will be fruitless to stand.\u00a0 \u201cKangaroo courts\u201d will convene across the nation charging and convicting Christians of numerous trumped up charges.\u00a0 This is the emerging of a tool for very harsh Christian persecution.\u00a0 It has already been used successfully. \u00a0One man, Brad Avakian, is forcing Christians in Oregon to deny their faith or be wiped out financially.<\/p>\n
Avakian is a rogue politician abusing his office and power. \u00a0He should be held accountable and recalled.\u00a0 Emboldened by his actions, many in the homosexual community will come after Christians.\u00a0 That we can count on.\u00a0 Are you scared yet? \u00a0Are you ready to keep your mouth shut in meek compliance? \u00a0If not, where is the outrage?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
