I’m about to hit the 62-year-old mark, and I’ve been thinking a lot about what I have accomplished.\u00a0 I’m never satisfied with the results until I know I’ve done all that I can do.\u00a0 However, I wonder if I’m going to ever do anything significant for God, if He is even going to use me in a semi-major way, or am I simply going to while away the years with mundane and minuscule activity.<\/p>\n

As I contemplated this for many days, and prayed much about it, I realized that it doesn\u2019t matter.\u00a0 I just have to be faithful in whatever it is that God deems proper for me to be involved in.\u00a0 That means I am accountable for every day, for every moment of opportunity, and for what I can do to minister to every soul I meet.<\/p>\n

This morning as I was praying and meditating, I thought about yesterday.\u00a0 I went over my activity during the day and wondered if I had been faithful to my calling.\u00a0 I decided that the end of each day\u2014or better yet, at the beginning of the next day\u2014I would ask myself the following questions.<\/p>\n

  1. Am I a better person for what I did today?<\/li>\n
  2. Have my accomplishments today ministered to or blessed anyone?<\/li>\n
  3. Has my behavior caused any one to consider accepting Christ as Lord and Savior?<\/li>\n
  4. Did I make an attempt to know and obey God\u2019s will?<\/li>\n
  5. What did I do today that will register for eternity?<\/li>\n
  6. Did I waste any time, money, or other valuable resources?<\/li>\n
  7. Were the most important people in my life treated as such (with opportunity of course)?<\/li>\n
  8. How much life did I spend worrying about the things, events, and people that aggravated or frustrated me?<\/li>\n
  9. Am I satisfied with how I spent my life today?<\/li>\n
  10. Is God satisfied with how I spent my life today?<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    I may alter the list as I go forward, but I\u2019m determined that I will not waste life complaining about it.\u00a0 Somehow, I will accomplish something, even if it is so small that no one notices it but God.\u00a0 I hope you do too.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
