Just some midnight rambling commentary from an old warrior.<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n

After I’ve defeated giant number 3000, isn\u2019t it about time to quit worrying about whether I’m going to win the next battle?\u00a0 What I mean is, if I am still standing today, it has been in spite of innumerable battles that I have won.\u00a0 Even the ones that I thought I lost, I still won because of two things\u2014they didn\u2019t take me out and I learned valuable lessons.\u00a0 I\u2019m beginning to see why God became so displeased with Israel in the desert.\u00a0 He sent them mighty miracles, and they traded praising Him for the sport of complaining.\u00a0 No doubt it wasn\u2019t easy for them. \u00a0Life in the temporal realm can be very harsh at times.\u00a0 I\u2019ve had my share of sorrows and I cannot say that my present status is one to be desired.\u00a0 Maybe I\u2019m beginning to mellow in my old age, but I\u2019m getting to the point that I have stopped worrying over most problems.\u00a0 All real problems are worrisome to someone.\u00a0 It depends on the person concerning how worrisome it is or may become.\u00a0 Focusing on God and His faithfulness to me in the past reduces my worrying about the problem. \u00a0Besides, large problems are opportunities for miracles and miracles are like adrenalin to my faith.\u00a0 I was thinking about David\u2019s large problem, Goliath.\u00a0 What if David had had to fight a small enemy?\u00a0 It\u2019s one thing to hit a giant with a slingshot and quit another to hit a wasp with the same weapon.\u00a0 David pointed to past successes and could have remarked to himself, \u201cLook at the size of that target!\u201d\u00a0 I\u2019ve decided to launch my faith at those large problems.\u00a0 How could I miss?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
