\u201cNow the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.\u201d – 1 Timothy 4:1-2<\/p>\n
Like most individuals, I have witnessed professing Christians openly living as if they have no commitment to God. Then someone will invariably say about them, \u201cOh, he (or she) loves the Lord.\u201d<\/p>\n
What Lord? Lord Obsession? Lord Pleasure? Lord Perversion? Lord Money? Lord Fame? Or Lord Entertainment? Can one love any of Satan\u2019s \u201clords\u201d and properly love the Lord Jesus Christ? All those \u201clords\u201d are actually surrogates of Satan, the \u201cgod of this world\u201d (2 Corinthians 4:4). That compels me to address a particular situation concerning loving the World System.<\/p>\n
Christianity is currently struggling with a crisis of conscience and identity. The crisis has been brought to a crossroad by several \u201clords\u201d of media and entertainment companies. After Georgia\u2019s Governor signed the anti-infanticide \u201cheartbeat\u201d bill, Netflix, Disney, and WarnerMedia (et al) are threatening to cease film and television productions in the State. In other words, if Georgia\u2019s citizens do not honor its amoral directives they will go elsewhere. Really? But they should not expect a good outcome when the consumer is threatened by the merchant for disagreeing. There is seldom a good outcome for the merchant when the consumer is threatened for disagreeing.<\/p>\n
The fact is, we may become attached to many things, but we can do without Disney, Netflix, Warner Media, and any other industry that threatens us. I\u2019ve done without them for years and I never missed them. I never had symptoms of withdrawal and they remain of no interest to me.<\/p>\n
If they want to murder babies the Constitution provides freedom of speech to declare that intent. However, the demand by these lords of entertainment to either allow the murder of babies or \u201csuffer\u201d their departure is a critical challenge to Christians in Georgia.<\/p>\n
After all, they are actually implying is, \u201cWhat we offer is so irresistible that you will murder babies to indulge in our product.\u201d<\/p>\n
A large percentage of professing Christians in our nation might indeed sell their souls for a talking mouse, a sordid movie rental company, or a media sleaze factory. But what if a significant number take umbrage at the threat? What if a significant number becomes unreconcilably soured by these companies presumptuous demands?<\/p>\n
These entertainment traffickers are implying, \u201cYou people too ignorant to realize that we depend on your favor, not vice verse.\u201d<\/p>\n
What is really occurring is these companies are gambling that Christianity no longer has the strength of character and unity to resist their bullying. They seem convinced that when forced to choose between the life of a baby versus the fleshly gratification by entertainment, the great majority of professing Christians will choose the latter. So certain are these companies of that degree of apostasy that their CEO\u2019s are willing to gamble that there will be no backlash from their threats.<\/p>\n
Here is a reality check for the CEOs of Netflix, Disney, and Warner Media. As I previously stated, we do not need you, but we need babies. Not only do we need babies, but we need to love them, cuddle them, nurture them, watch them grow, and protect them from harm. We need to cuddle them, kiss them, and just look at their perfect little faces. We need baby love like we need oxygen. A baby is an invaluable asset to the human race. Humanity needs continual baby life like a lake needs fresh water. Without baby love innocence would depart from the earth and our souls would shrivel like dried pepper pods.<\/p>\n
When we can no longer love a baby we can no longer be called humanity. We would be just a planet of misfits floating around in space with no purpose or meaning.<\/p>\n
We also need our conscience to be sensitive to the innocence of a baby. We must protect that innocence with more determination than we would muster to protect our own lives. If all babies do not deserve the right to exist, then no one deserves existence. Conception is the beginning of life. Birth is life is placed in our care. Nurturing may be the closest one will ever get to being a god. Murdering a baby is as close as one can get to being a devil.<\/p>\n
On the other hand, entertainment is practically worthless. It has not contributed anything more than corruption with economic benefit. Should we perpetuate that folly at the expense of Christian identity and conscience? Georgia\u2019 citizens and everyone else should reject the worthless offer by the \u201clords\u201d of entertainment.<\/p>\n
The unvarnished fact is that these entertainment companies have challenged the soul of America. They are demanding, \u201cEither do what we say this time and every other time or we will deprive you of our presence and product.\u201d Their demand is as sheer evil extending its blood-stained hand offering a marriage with righteousness. Two decades ago no major corporation would have dared try such bluff. The fact that they would try it now indicates they are confident that they can intimidate and force their will on the people.<\/p>\n
Will professing Christians be insulted and ashamed that these companies identify them as weak and willing to become complicit with cold-blooded, pre-meditated, murderers of babies? That is what so-called abortion is. We should not be so desensitized to the torture and slaughter of millions of babies to accept a generic term to describe it. The godless slaughter is, in fact, seared-conscience, brute-bestial, antichrist, void of natural affection, premeditated murder.<\/p>\n
The demand to capitulate to the lords of entertainment is a major step for the satanic agenda. If it works, there is no limit to what people will be intimidated into accepting next. It is time for true Christians to stand together and oppose this scurrilous attack on its very heart and soul. I say call their bluff and boycott them into oblivion. If Christians do not stand now, then they will never stand. The religion will fall with a resounding crash under the guilt of its great compromise.<\/p>\n
If we cannot rise en masse with a godly response, then they were right\u2014the soul of Christianity may have died.<\/p>\n
