It\u2019s near midnight and I was just wondering about something I read concerning prayer. But first, I want to relate a memory from before I became a child of God.<\/p>\n
I remember when I was a young man, the people I associated with burned incense to cover up the odor of marijuana smoke. We pretty much knew who smoked pot by the odor of incense on their clothing. And of course that glassy look from the eyes.<\/p>\n
Most of us think about God hearing us when we pray. However, there apparently is also an odor. I\u2019m guessing that sincere praying by a godly soul, whose deep desire is to communicate with and know God, is heard and smelled. So I ask, how long has it been since God smelled us praying?<\/p>\n
Apparently, the odor lasts long after the words cease. So I also wonder if Satan and his imps smell the odor of prayer on us when we are out and about in the world. It might be true that the minions of darkness do smell prayer on us, and they keep their distance.<\/p>\n
Some folks won\u2019t leave the house without soaking their skin with powerful cologne or perfume. They would feel almost naked without it. You do not have to turn around to know that they entered the room. I wonder if we took the same approach with prayer what would be the result.
