H. Fisher<\/p>\n<p>Memories of my childhood, Christmas was near.<br \/>\nI wondered about Santa and his magic deer.<span class=\"text_exposed_hide\">&#8230;<\/span><span class=\"text_exposed_show\"><br \/>\nI wondered if he really knew all about me,<br \/>\nAnd why were there presents under the tree<br \/>\nMany years had passed before I realized,<br \/>\nThat there was no magic Santa, no magic sleigh in the sky,<br \/>\nNo chimney large enough that he could come down,<br \/>\nAnd no plausible way that he could visit every town.<br \/>\nOn one summer eve the truth finally came.<br \/>\nThere was only one man, Jesus is His name,<br \/>\nThat could offer the blessings of peace and good will,<br \/>\nAnd a solution to all the world\u2019s ills.<br \/>\nHe gave me a gift more priceless than all<br \/>\nThe gifts that a mythical Santa could haul.<br \/>\nHe gave me salvation and freedom from sin.<br \/>\nNo longer a slave, I now live for Him.<br \/>\nSo when Christmas comes with its glitz and glamour,<br \/>\nWith shopping flurry, music, and clamor,<br \/>\nShopping carts racing down aisles full of toys,<br \/>\nMusic, and shouting, and honking, and noise.<br \/>\nI focus on what really matters each day,<br \/>\nThat Christ is the life, the truth, and the way.<br \/>\nAnd if it is about His birthday celebration.<br \/>\nWhat could we give that would bring jubilation,<br \/>\nTo heaven and angels, cherubs, and the Father,<br \/>\nIs there anything on earth we could possibly offer?<br \/>\nYes, there is a gift that we can give Him.<br \/>\nWe can offer our lives and turn away from sin.<br \/>\nWe can love, care, give, and be kind,<br \/>\nEvery day, not just at Christmas time.<br \/>\nIf His birthday is truly the reason for this commotion,<br \/>\nLet\u2019s ignore the magic Santa and give Jesus our devotion.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Christmas Poem C.
