Cedric Fisher: "earnestly contending for the faith."

Have some “churches” & Denominations now become dens of iniquity?

(That this is a rebellious people, lying children, children who will not hear the law of the Lord;

who say to the seers, “Do not see,” and to the prophets, “Do not prophesy to us right things;

Speak to us smooth things, prophesy deceits. Get out of the way, turn aside from the path,

cause the Holy One of Israel to cease from before us.” – Isaiah 30:9-11)

Apparently, numerous professing Christians have not understood that commitment to Christianity is not necessarily the same as being committed to God. The question is not if one is a Christian—which now includes everyone from Sodom to Hollywood—but is he or she dead to sin, and has he or she destroyed and discarded its throne? Is he or she walking in newness of life, having crucified the flesh, and having become a servant of righteousness?

Sadly. few people can answer “yes” to those questions. Of the ones that answer “yes,” there are many that agree with the terms, (e.g., “crucified the flesh”) but those terms no longer identify what God’s word describes.

For example, “crucifying the flesh” may mean that they actually accept a reinterpretation of God’s word that agrees with succumbing to their fleshly desire. They reject the “no’s” of the Scriptures as negative misinterpretations by old, pharisaical, and legalistic Christianity—which they also reject. Consequently, there is no generational continuity of Christianity. “Restored true Christianity” begins with their generation and is considered their tailor-made view of God that continues to morph. This, the “thou shalt not’s” have become the “yes I will’s.”

In other words, because they changed the music, changed fashions, changed trends, et cetera, they believe that they can also change God’s word. They do so with a backdoor method. That is, they changed God’s Divine order of marriage, and then insist that He agrees. They changed His Divine order concerning gender and sexuality, and again insist it is acceptable to Him. None of their changes begin with God but originates in their flesh. However, they believe that if a vaunted leader says that God accepts it, then it must be so. But Divine Order refutes the concept that God will change to please us but insists that we change to please Him.

The fact is that God’s clear truth has been made ambiguous, not because the words of His book suddenly started shifting about, disappearing, or reforming into sin-friendly sentences. Instead, professional theologians, apologists, enthroned pastors, vaunted denominational leaders, venerated televangelists, and crafty best-selling authors, have twisted, mutilated, removed, and otherwise distorted God’s word. The clear truth is that they do not elucidate His word, as they authoritatively claim, but they attack it as a diabolical virus that needs to be corrected to agree with the changing culture.

They all employ the same premise as the serpent that tempted Eve in the Garden. First, they ask the question—“Yea, hath God said?” Then they posit the lie—“You will not surely die.”

For example, they ask, “Where in God’s word does it say that homosexuality is a sin?” Well, here it is.

“If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.” – Leviticus 20:13

“Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.” – Romans 1:27

Twisting, mutilating, removing, distorting, and ignoring God’s word, they move on to the declaration, “God is not against homosexuality.”

God did not instruct us to question, mute, or alter His word when it condemns our wickedness. But even that truth has been distorted. His word is the unmovable compass—the uncompromising standard. It is called “the sword of the Spirit” that we are to instructed to “take,” meaning to possess. However, if it belongs to the Holy Spirit, how can we believe that it is in our power and authority to alter it.

However, I am aware of professing Christians that have changed “a little wine for thy often infirmities” (1 Timothy 5:23) into “a pint or more of whiskey” each night. “Love the neighbor” appears to be the premise to lust for opposite or same-sex fornication or adultery. Once, a young man ridiculously quoted to me Zachariah 14:21 as a biblical basis for smoking pot.

Someone might insist that those examples are rare. They are not rare and it is becoming increasingly and rapidly popular to force God’s word to accept whatever foams out of the world system, including LGBTQP, transgenderism, and same-sex marriage. It is not rare for Christian leadership to accept the New Apostolic Reformation, Contemplative Prayer and other elements of the New Age, and even heresies that absolve them from guilt no matter how despicable, flagrant, and dangerous their wickedness may be. It is not rare to have reprobates and other apostates in every level of leadership—even voted into top positions (J. D. Greear?).

If the Holy Spirit gives us the privilege of using His sword, the word of God, it is no doubt a weapon against lies. Thus, when Satan, his imps, or his “ministers of righteousness” come to distort the truth, we hold forth the word of God that destroys their deceptions. That is so obvious that we must conclude that the compromise of God’s word to make wickedness acceptable is not the work of an ignoramus. Instead, it is the activity of a clever demonic fallen angel, leader of innumerable demonic fallen angels, and Christanized charlatans in positions of great influence. And the people love to have it so.

“A wonderful and horrible thing is committed in the land; the prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?” – Jeremiah 5:30-31

Many individuals will be cast into eternal hell for rendering ineffective God’s word against sexual perversion. They may have accepted His word against hate and highlighted His word declaring that we should take care of widows and orphans. But they commit the strongest form of hatred, starvation, and destitution when they deceive individuals to believe that wickedness is acceptable to God. That expression of hatred makes them blind and naked, spiritually bankrupt, without white raiment, and positions them toward eternal hell.

The fact is that Christianity is now so compromised, professing Christians are so anemic, unknowledgeable, compromised with heresy and influence of other religions and the world system, that any charismatic reprobate off the street, and with the gift of gab, can stroll in and become a leader. So many have slithered in that I’m wondering if Satan’s leadership pool is about drained.

Warning: Attention all you misinterpreters and maligners of God’s word (Rob Bell, Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, and the list is too long to post here), if you are hell-bent on morphing Christianity into a religious twin of the World System, your sin will go before you as the outcry against Sodom and Gomorrah. Hell enlarges its mouth and rises to greet you!

Seared may be your conscience, arrogance may be your strength, lies may be your refuge, as you build the great whitewashed wall of untempered mortar. But when God rends it in His wrath and fury, your lies and lives will be dissolved. Only the irremovable stain and guilt of your sin will remain (Ezekiel 13:10-16).

Woe to the ones that insist they have entered a covenant with God, but have made a covenant with hell (Isaiah 28:14-20).

Judgment is coming and it will begin at the “house of God” (1Peter 4:17).

“The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the Lord, and say, Is not the Lord among us? none evil can come upon us.” – Micah 3:11

Iniquity is thought by many to be regular old sin. Since I have been writing I have defined iniquity as the using of God’s good name for selfish and unBilical purposes. Church affiliated sin. Iniquitous leaders who ‘make merchandise’ of their followers and lead them into perdition. Jesus turned over the money changers’ tables at the temple. He was righteously mad about God’s house being used to cheat people. Those who follow false teachers today ‘glory in the shame’ of their debased leaders, “18 (For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, [that they are] the enemies of the cross of Christ: 19 Whose end [is] destruction, whose God [is their] belly, and [whose] glory [is] in their shame, who mind earthly things.) 20 For our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ:” [Phl 3:18-20 KJV] I will name a few of those hirelings for you all. Steven Furtick, Bill Johnson, John Piper, John MacArthur, Al Moeller, the list goes on and on and on. Worship bands and songwriters like Bethel Music and Hillsong are making merchandise of Christians? These men and groups and many others will reap in due time. “7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. 8 For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. 9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” [Gal 6:7-9 KJV]

Thank God that, “The Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” ( 2 Timothy 2:19) The Body of Christ has never been the majority. Be encouraged by 1 Corinthians 15:57-58…we win! May each of us (regenerate believers) contend without being contentious, judge without being judgmental, critique without being critical, and love without compromising the truth.

    Yes.

And oh, how the devil is working on overtime with his twistings of Scripture and logic! I listen to ‘Christian’ music on the radio for the random and rare worship song, and the rest is mere research to stay on top of the trends. Well one thing I have noticed in sermons as well as in song lyrics is that they will not only deny the true meaning of a verse, but even twist it into its opposite! And it goes right under the noses of the gullible sheep without notice.

    Some examples of Bible verses:

1 Corinthians 13 is often used to claim that ‘the gifts have ceased,’ yet nowhere does it say that. It also happens to be the only verse they think they can fall back on. An accurate reading of it yields ‘when that which is perfect has come’ not to be the Bible (and that has nothing to do with the argument for the perfection of the Bible), but to be the return of Christ, the Kingdom age, and when we see Him face to face (which could include passing into heaven as well as His return). But Paul refers to an overall thing that has ‘come,’ so that is the return and establishment of the kingdom, when obviously we don’t need the gifts anymore, but we do now, and we do have them now. Just because the ‘canon was complete’ has nothing to do with it, most did not have access anyway and still don’t in many parts of the world where a church meets. The correct interpretation shows that the gifts will in fact CONTINUE until He returns, the exact opposite meaning of what they twist it into.

Another example is 2 Thessalonians 2 and the term ‘apostasy.’ Many have falsely interpreted that as ‘rapture’ when the true word is ‘falling away,’ and apostasy captures that meaning. But they try to twist it into ‘falling up’ so that the rapture occurs before the antichrist is revealed during the tribulation, when the text in fact says the exact opposite, the rapture cannot occur UNTIL the antichrist has been revealed!

But the problem is, they idolize these ‘teachers’ and swallow whatever they say and then read the Bible with their blinders on and their rose colored glasses, only taking away from it the flesh pleasing and ear tickling interpretation that they want to hear. If anyone desires to awake them from this most sweet and pleasant of slumber, the fangs and claws come out with full fury!

From a song, I will use the song ‘overcomer.’ There is also apparently a movie of this coming out. The Biblical meaning of ‘overcomer’ is one who has overcome the world, in other words he has renounced the world and the pull it has on us, he has denied the world and turned from its temptations. He is not trying to climb a corporate ladder to wealth and prestige, by cheating and immorality. His ego, lust, desire for fame and fortune he has died to. He is no longer concerned about social status and impressing his neighbors, looks, trophies and materialism, and all the trappings of hell’s carnival. He is content to be a humble servant of Jesus, laying down his life and suffering persecution in life and death for the Lord. He has surrendered to the will of God and not building his own kingdom here and now, or the will of man. Also, whether by unjust gain or a direct selling of one’s soul to the devil, you can’t rise very far in this world controlled by satan anyway. Jesus promised good things to those who ‘overcame the world.’ Anyway, when you listen to the song you almost get the opposite impression, as if you are an overcomer by being a champion in and of the world that rises above circumstances and such, albeit by the power of God. If we rise, we must ask upon what we are rising. Are we rising as His servant? Or are we rising ‘in the world system’? It makes all the difference!

Then there are the subtle twistings of concepts.

    A few examples:

“You can never outrun God’s love.”
“God loves you ‘just as you are’. ”
The first one, yes you can if you sin and go too far, or if you deny Him. His love is infinite, but He won’t force it upon you.
The second one makes it look like no repentance is necessary.
Sure, God loves you, but no, not ‘just as you are.’ You may ‘come as you are,’ but once you get there, He will most definitely change you, and lots! God loves you too much to leave you ‘just as you are’! But oh, the endless twists to suit their narrative and deter people from repentance and true salvation!

Now this phrase is in the Bible, but they have their own definition:
“In the world but not of the world.”
This means we are physically stuck on the earth and operating on it, such as going to work, paying bills, etc. But we are not part of the world when it comes to its culture and habits and spirit. We are separated unto Christ. But apostates make it sound like they can be totally immersed in the filth of the world, but still not be ‘of the world’ because they claim to be of Christ, as if they get a free license to sin. But no, they do not. They are not only in the world, but of the world. Only they don’t see it. They still have an appetite for the things of the world, and we know what the Bible says about that. You can’t have both fellowship with God and the world at the same time. And also, there are so many apostates who don’t even realize that this is what they are, they have fallen away via deceptions like the Shack, but still think they are Christians, and reinventing the definition as they go. But they are just as lost as atheists, only it is more dangerous as they won’t respond to the true gospel.

Exactly, they fill the term in with their own meaning. Oh, it is getting SO bad out there! The self imposed deception! It is a totally polluted place now in the church. And they all ‘drank the cool aid’ from the table of Baal!
