Do We Want What We Need?

Over 4 million people purchased a new iPhone. There is a very long line of people at our nearest Apple store this morning waiting to pick up their new phone. Some people camped out overnight. For a phone. In a couple of weeks or less, you can walk into a store and pick one up with no waiting.

To be honest, I cannot think of one material thing I can afford to buy that I would camp out all night on a sidewalk for. But I have prayed all night. I have gotten up in the middle of the night or early morning to pray. The reason is not because I wanted something material, but because I respect the voice of the Holy Spirit. And there is a consuming hunger in my heart to know God more, to obey Him, and to be in His perfect will.
I know that some people will groan at my next statement, but it is truth. When a man of God prays, often fasts, and boldly declares the word of God, not only do they not camp out overnight, nor are there long lines, but the great majority of people refuse to come to the sound of truth. It is indicative of a decreasing interest in God and His truth. Another god has their ear and attention. It is the false god that is presented by individuals such as the Osteen’s. That god exists to make us happy, wealthy, comfortable, and free from all inconveniences. He is the god of most professing Christians and god of the “Me” generation. They do not want the God that will purchase and redeem them from sin’s bondage, that they must surrender to, and for whose glory and pleasure they were created.

To be clear, I’m not against anyone wanting a iPhone. Get two of them if that is what you want and can afford. I’m just pointing out the disparity in our efforts between what we want and what we need. We have become a nation that sacrifices for what we want, but are increasingly unwilling to be even mildly inconvenienced for or even recognize what we need. In fact, we do not want what we need.

The new will wear off of the newest adult electronic toy very rapidly. However, we will still need God and even more so as the darkness approaches. Did Christ say to first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness? Instead, the determined seeking is for an iPhone for a “Me” generation.

Whatever we turn our best efforts toward procuring is no doubt the best indicator of what we wish to fill our lives with. Whatever the desire is in our hearts will most certainly be reflected by our actions. How priceless is the pure truth of God! A few minutes in His presence is more desirable that anything this world has to offer!

Is God Pregnant?

So I turned on the TV this morning while eating my breakfast and learned something new.  Going through the channels I landed on TCT religious network.  They were having one of their telethons to raise money for their heresy factory.  As the piano player and the teleheritic joked with each other, the singers were crooning, “God is pregnant.”  Doesn’t anyone know what blasphemy is today?  As the song went on they sang, “God is pregnant with a miracle for you.” Really?  And how many miracles is God pregnant with.  There are a large number of people who need miracles today.  Are they saying that God is pregnant with millions of miracles?  Is He going to give birth to them?  Then what?

I have to wonder at the twisted minds that come up with this type of rot.  It is apparent that they do not think before they open their mouths.  First, God is omnipotent.  He does not need to become pregnant with a miracle to do a mighty work.  The idea of God being pregnant with miracles is vulgar.  Any miracle that comes from a pregnant god (if that was possible) is a baby demon.

Second, miracles only occur in the temporal realm.  There is no such thing as a miracle in heaven.  Miracle is a term temporal beings use to describe an event that appears to have been caused supernaturally.  Therefore, a miracle is not an object or even an event that God possess and gives to us.  It is an event God causes that affects us.  If one is terminally sick and God heals him or her, the work of God’s power is miraculous because there was no other way the individual could have regained health.  No object passed from heaven to that person.  God simply willed it to be, and it became as He willed.

Third, one does not have to do anything special for God to act on his or her behalf.  You certainly do not have to send money to a religious television network.  Every true child of God has access to the Father by prayer.  When we pray, God in His infinite wisdom may or may not decide to intervene in our situation.  It is not a lack of faith if He does not intervene and no amount of money given to TCT, TBN, or a teleheritic will cause Him to change His mind.

What the heretics and hirelings have done is fashioned a god that appears more like the false gods of the world system.  I’m wondering when they are going tell people to rub their Message “bibles” and say “abracadabra”.  God is not like a genie.  He is not a big Santa Claus in the sky. However, the heretics and hirelings portray Him as waiting with bated breath for us to make a donation so that He can pour out His power.  Instead, He is grieved that people who do not know Him are convincing people who think they know Him into committing simony.

I have said it many times before and I will keep saying it until I have no breath to speak.  This life is not about us; it’s about God.  It is not about conjuring up a god with positive phrases and money to do something for us.  Instead, it is about us being fully surrendered and submissive to Almighty God.  The Apostle Paul wrote, “For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6:20).  But these heretics are insinuating that we can buy God at a price, and that He will glorify us in this temporal realm.  Not going to happen.  What is happening is these individuals are insulting the Spirit of grace and courting demons spirits.

As the decay of Christianity worsens, I’m certain that there will be more bizarre heresies and evil practices manifested.  How tragic that many professing Christians do not know better.  They only grasp a concept of God that results in them being manipulated by wicked people.  Not only are they being cheated out of a relationship with God, but they are being conditioned for membership in the church of the False Prophet.  If they had ears to hear and eyes to see, they could be warned.  Sadly, they believe that they are living in the miraculous.  Further, they believe that they have superior knowledge of God.  The truth is that they have no power, do not know Him, and He will declare from the throne of judgment that He does not know them.
